After updating to 1.8.1.. thinking how awesome it would be i played about 2 hours before i got bored..

Then i looked at my minecraft folder to find out i had forgot to back up the 1.7.3..

I know i should have done back ups.. i hate myself for that right now..
Just a question is there anyways to install minecraft 1.7.3 ? that is without having a 1.7.3 backup jar?

I can almost say that i hate minecraft without my beloved Windmill .. my saws.. my elevator.. my steel weapons.. /nostalgia

there's a tool on mcf to downgrade your version. I'm in the middle of doing something right now so I can't get you a link.

Take a look at this. I've never used it, but it looks like it should help you downgrade back to 1.7.3.

I've used it. It works fine, just make sure you follow the directions.
