TLDR:
Someone came up with a term 'mansplaining' which refers to an act where a man patronizes or speaks in a condescending manner to a woman when explaining something. Notch replied with his issue with the word being something that doesn't create equality but rather is a derogatory towards men. This is the main issue that I was able to pull out, notable tweets are the one that started it, this one, this thread and this one.

As for my thoughts? My generation is a bunch of softies, yes there are issues and no we are not attacking them in any form of reasonable manner. Rather than attempting to fix the issue that many bring forward, people seem more eager to point fingers and nit pick small parts of each argument. It pisses me off to no end that the few people around me IRL that do want to talk about this sort of thing are intent on shoving it down my throat rather than actually trying to show/get across what the main issues facing women today are.
Also media is a great tool for spreading information and ideas, however it would seem that since people like to grab onto the drama lama and go for useless frolics through the field, the media as a whole is turning into a useless medium which is only spreading hate and ideas that attempt to further segregate us as humans. This issue as a whole is infuriating simply because it is being used as a weapon by one group of people, rather than any group attempting to fix it.

But yeah, drama makes for bad feels throughout. Attempt to avoid.

I think this board should stay out of this one. Nothing anyone here has said, but PC vs Non has actually become a huge political issue in the past year, and it's not something I really want to see fought out on this board.
