Death by running into a wolf in boat

I was watching KO Teknik's Better than Wolves let's play (in French), when he suddenly and inexplicably died after he ran over one of his wolves in a boat. The game gave a message about hitting the ground too hard.

Not sure if this is a vanilla or BTW bug, I expect the former, but I hadn't seen it before, so I thought I'd report it here anyway.


Oh, just for lolz; at 27:40 he discovers why you don't build your cow pen out of dirt. Worthy of a 'haha, noob'.
