game load but no btw (solved)

Ok, so I updated all my mods to the newest minecraft, including BTW.
Load using mcpatcher in the correct order. Start the game and it goes through everything,
start a game, saved or new, but no BTW items or the mod itself are available.

I've wiped it totally, forced a clean install, installed only modloader & BTW and again, no error,
no black screen, loads the game, and still nothing...

Anyone have any other ideas?

I've made sure that everything are brand new downloads all working for the newest minecraft.

And that's your problem right there. The current version of BtW runs on 1.5.1

all right, so I was messed up with versions but now that FC has gone above & beyond and made BTW compatible with 1.52 I am still having the same problem.
I notice he says not to use modloader, so its not touched.
I've deleted both minecraft files and forced an update.
use mcpatcher with just the standard options selected and BTW and nothing.
Is BTW still compatible with mcpatcher or do you have to go back to doing it by hand?
Any ideas?
My luck its something that I've missed.. again..

I've even done it by hand and used winRAR, just BTW added, deleted META-INF
and still BTW not loaded...

Did you select the "minecraft jar" folder/dragged the content of it into the minecraft jar?

?? minecraft jar into minecraft jar?? do you mean the contects of minecraft.jar in the BTW zip into the minecraft.jar?
yes. I did. Had to double check, but yes lol

Ok, well, I wiped the entire game and installed from scratch.
ran mcpatcher to update for hd textures etc.
then dragged everything from minecraft.jar within the BTW.zip in the minecraft.jar file and its working.
have no idea what was happening, I had replaced the minecraft.jar files repeatedly, something else must have corrupted.

oh well, sorry for the problem.

oh well, sorry for the problem.

You really should use MCPatcher to install BTW as well, if you actually want the features from MCPatcher. Its very easy, just hit the little "+" button, find your BTW download, select the MINECRAFT-JAR folder and you're good to go.

Thats what I kept doing but for some reason BTW just wouldn't show up in the game. No idea why lol.
