the biggest challenge?

Post by mikeyagoto »

I have been thinking recently about what the biggest accomplishment in btw is.

Right now i think it would be building a sfs beacon because it requires an enormous amount of automation as well as the killing of a boss npc.

Other things i have considered:
Killing the ender Dragon
Diamond beacon
Automation of every resource (thats is possible to automate)

If you guys can think of anything else I'll put it on the list!

Also what gameplay style would make these easier or harder to obtain?

Certainly the most difficult achievement to continuously hold for any extended period of time. I mean, just wait one week and there's all these dangfangled new things we gotta do. ;)

I would say surviving long enough to get your first iron pick.

Enderdragon is pretty easy sauce with some good enchants.

Wither, I haven't taken on yet, but I imagine that one would be rather nasty with the new heal system.

Made my day,

The only problem i have with that criteria is how do you define everything as automated? Is harder to judge than everything else

If you have enough SFS to make a beacon viable, you have enough to make the wither fight trivial by trapping it. By far for me is the initial nether assault. Iron armor before you get hibachis running is helluva expensive so you're going in there with leather armor, no potions and an iron sword unless you got really lucky while caving and have two spare diamonds for the upgrade.

Combat aside, finding the first three diamonds is an immense challenge.

My friend and I have discovered that it's stupidly simple to kill a Wither just by trapping it in enough stone with a single hole in the center to shoot and smack it. We haven't been hit by it yet doing that, and we've killed about 6.

So doing the above method I wouldn't count the Wither; however, if you're killing it out in the open then that's a whole different story.

I will have to agree with Dave on the first Nether run. That's just brutal now with the lack of iron armor and the slow healing.

The wither is easy, here's a video on how to do it:

Wow, you make a base just for fucking? Now *that's* dedication to the gimp suit ;).

Automation has never been that tricky for me. Of course, I've never achieved a fully automated system, but I like a bit of manual interaction with the world to get things going.

For me, currently, it's finding a computer capable of playing MC, or any other game. Come on, lottery ...
