Item Frames can be melted down into glue
As per title. They're made of leather, anyway.
All parts should go together without forcing. You must remember that the parts you are reassembling were disassembled by you. Therefore, if you can't get them together again, there must be a reason. By all means, do not use a hammer.

After you mentioned this i did some research and some of the components of leather can melt and be made into a glue like substance (please correct me if I am wrong)

As for the OP: it does make sense but the wood in the recipe kind of complicates the matter
