How to increase size of maps?

I ran across something about putting "bootsies" and a map in crafting table? Does that work and what are bootsies?

It puts the bootsies on the wolfsies or else it gets the diamond saw.

Lol, it's funny that only thing I could find was about that.

Im assuming you just place map in center of crafting table and surround with paper like in vanilla to increase size.

Also for anyone interested, Six's Better Item Frame Maps looks like a great add on for making a map wall.
