(Help) Mobtrap stopped spawning

My mobtrap was fully operational. Then, I added the exp-hopper section to it and now the mobs don't spawn.

Does anyone has a clue as to why the mobs stopped spawning? Are there restrictions I'm unaware of?

(My character is 34 meters away from the mobtrap, is that enough?)

Screen shots will help. There is a bunch setup wise that can impact spawns. If you just added an extra hopper in the drop stream it would be really strange for that to be an issue.

Check the obvious lighting, change your distance and lastly the killing mechanism.

Check for clogs caused by giant slimes and endermen mucking about.

Or there could be caves and ravines you've missed that are filling up instead. You might try walking far enough to despawn anything in the area and coming back the next day to see if it starts back up.
