1.73 anyone?
Anyone still playing 1.73?
Please chime-in if so. I'm considering starting work on a new release for 1.73 since it's beginning to look like Minecraft won't stabilize enough to do a proper release for the newest version anytime soon.
I've been occupying my free time playing Fallout: New Vegas the past couple of days, and have started to develop a strong urge to continue work on the mod.

Re: 1.73 anyone?
I don't have it loaded currently, but I've still got the .bin on my desktop for easy access. If you do an update for 1.7.3 I'd be more than willing to revert. Just because Mojang has kicked their release schedule into overdrive doesn't mean the modding community should come to a screeching halt. =]

DO IT! DO IT NOW!
Seriously though, that would be awesome. It's also probably the best option currently. I'm actually playing 1.8, but I still have my awesome 1.7.3 world and it could use some love. ;D

I've got a copy of 1.7.3 that I still play on when 1.8 gets boring, complete with BTW.

Ok yeah maybe its not that old but it kinda feels like its been quite a long time since we were playing 1.7.3...

And kudos for Fallout: New Vegas... I haven't finish the main story for it yet, but I love the feel of the game thus far..
I'm not trying to come off as strong as I do. It's hard for me to personally see how I'm affecting others (even in real like).. and it makes me seem more of an ass than I want to be, so I apologize if you find what I say 'a bit rough'...
Re: 1.73 anyone?
Of course! who would upgrade to 1.8 or 1.9 when BTW isn't there yet? Madness I tell you!

Ditto. I keep a copy of 1.8/9 to play multiplayer, but most of my time ingame is spent on my 1.7.3 BTW island.

Re: 1.73 anyone?
Yup, still got my modded 1.73 jar handy. Kinda screwed if a new release needs a fresh install though >.<

Re: 1.73 anyone?
You have my support for a 1.7.3 release.
Also did you start the new DLC for NV? I burnt myself out on fallout so I need time to want to start playing again.

Re: 1.73 anyone?
Never changed off of it, I'll just wait until BTW updates (;
If I had a signature, it would look like this.
Re: 1.73 anyone?
Yes I should have that version stored somewhere here ... I'll just get my shovel and pickaxe to find it ...
AH! There it is! Or better there they are! I have about 30 different .jar of different minecraft versions with different mods on them. Maybe I should sort them out ones in a while ...

Re: 1.73 anyone?
I am still playing 1.7 partly because the update seems a bit OTT and the should have drip fed us small updates rather than thow it in all at once, but mostly because minecraft is not the same without your much loved mod!
If the minecraft world is infinite, why does the sun still rotate around it?
Re: 1.73 anyone?
Please do so :)
I wasn't even planing on updating to 1.8, and only did to play with FF on SMP, but most of the time I revert to 1.7, because I miss BTW way too much when playing vMC.

Re: 1.73 anyone?
I'm still on 1.7.3 for both SSP and SMP. I don't intend to update until things calm down a bit and bukkit has at least a couple recommended builds on the 1.8+ platform.
Re: 1.73 anyone?
I deleted my old worlds because I was looking forward to 1.8 and felt like I wanted a fresh start. In hindsight it was not a good idea. I might have a backup of my 1.7.3 .minecraft folder somewhere but I'm actually enjoying my 1.8/1.9 world still so I think I'll wait for the mod to get updated instead of going back to 1.7.3.
However, do as you please, I don't mind waiting a bit and I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to see some additions for the mod even if they are for 1.7.3. :)

Re: 1.73 anyone?
I updated to 1.8, but still have a backup to revert to, so I'd say go for it.
Have some fun.

Re: 1.73 anyone?
I also have 1.73 still. I've got a 1.8 world that I explored out to the +-1000 marks that I play with my 1.73 jar.
Better is the enemy of Good
Re: 1.73 anyone?
I think i might have it arround somewhere, but i'm enjoying the new features enough that i'd be hestitant to downgrade back to 1.73. Still, if you do release a release, i'd happily give it a poke to see what's going on.

Re: 1.73 anyone?
i'm kinda enjoying my world in 1.8 because I'm building everything I need to prepare for the BTW upgrade/expansion pack. I even have my typical 5x5 elevator hole going down to level 12 already set up.

I've got a 1.7.3 jar myself, so yeah, go for it.

Re: 1.73 anyone?
After fooling around with 1.8 (and recently 1.9) for a bit I still mostly play my heavily modded 1.7.3, so update to it would be great in my books.
