Re: Terraria PC update apparently in the works, due Mayish.
It's probably worth noting that it a 100% port was released for iOS within the last few weeks. It's way more touch screen friendly that minecraft. While it had lost some luster on the PC, it makes a great little time killer when out and about.

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.891)
I have never made an enchanting table in BTW specifically waiting for this change. I am so glad that these can be a reasonable part of the game now. Plus everything else--oh, man--this looks like a great update. I was expecting a bug fix or something with that version number. Me too. Actually I mad...

Re: Hardcore Spawn is finished
I wanted to express my thanks for ALL your work and not just this one update. I don't do that nearly enough. I had turned HC spawn off at some point during the hardcore survival upgrades. Playing on hard had gotten too frustrating. A while back FC gave permission to play on normal ;) and the game be...

Holy crap! Thankyou! I was so sad when block ID's started overlapping between these mods.
I even tried my hand at modding to try and tease out just the vanilla-block biomes. That was a complete failure btw :)

Re: Beware of zombies with spoons . . .
Always play on hard. BTW really isn't balanced for it anymore. You're free to do so of course, but I suspect you'll be changing the play experience rather dramatically, with I think normal being tough enough. Seriously? I always feel guilty if I don't play on hard. Maybe that's why I've gotten so f...

Re: Any way to run treecapitator with BTW
Additionally, there are ways to automate wood production later, because of the BTW tech tree. Hardcore wood is a great motivator to move in that direction. Tree Capacitor would completely ruin any reason to develop that bit of automation.

Not spawn, but 0,0...according to MC wiki. That could make a significant difference.SterlingRed wrote:Strongholds generate approximately 120 degrees apart centered on spawn.

I drifted off to SSP for about a week to play around with HCH. I've had my fill and I've been building with the Fuzzy Bunnies again, although it has been mighty quiet. I'm actually more motivated to keep building and stick around after FCs convincing arguments.

2. Don't settle down. Keep moving and kill every animal you see. 3. Don't do any mining on the first day you want food and leather armor first. ...and there's the tradeoff, hunt or build. I think that's the important bit. Once you settle down the hunger part is easily managed, anyway. At that point...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week Of March 18th)
I would agree with you, but for the past few months every new world I generate has been ether one of two things (using default settings): An island with but one tree and no other resources. Or an ocean. REPEATEDLY. Me thinks vMC's random number generators are borked. I discovered a while back that ...

Dude, I haven't braved the night yet with iron armor... I play with BOD, so finding the first iron is a pretty big deal. Finally, iron armor, I thought. Mad an excursion at night thinking I was all set. Wrong. HCS with BOD is not as simple is just getting enough food to find redstone. Instead you h...

After messing around a bit, I figured out that being fat is a pretty good deal if you're going mining. So I thought more must be better. Wrong. Not only does obesity slow you down walking AND mining. Steve has a hard time breathing and its freaking annoying. Well played, FC, well played. Fuck, man! ...

Mara - one of your portals, labeled "Porta D" in the Nether, is close enough to my overworld base that it's interfering a bit with my nether portal linking. Would you mind if I just destroyed your overworld portal there (it doesn't appear to be close to anything) and had that nether porta...

Re: Predictable respawns with HC Spawn (possible spoilers)
Furthermore, would anyone suggest playing with normal biomes to prevent these situations? My SSP world is a large biomes save. Usually there are only 2 or 3 biomes in the re-spawn area. Once you're familiar with them, it's pretty easy to find your way home. Death wasn't something to be avoided anym...

Re: [4.58] BTW Official Co-Op Server [Fuzzy Bunnies - Whitel
Just want to check in about the HC Spawn changes I installed to the server yesterday to test them out. Are people finding that they're getting more random respawn locations as a result? I did 4 in a row last night. Two were untamed wilderness (lots of animals wondering around), one was pretty close...
