There is a strong possibility that the type of scroll that drops is dependent on the mob. Time to go mob hunting for them mobs that aren't in a mob trap (or better yet, build traps for them as well)

Two things:

1) Have the redstone wire that turns the gearbox on and off go to the last g.box before the bellow.

2) Try setting the turntable timer to the third setting, since there is a slight bleed off for gearboxes starting and stopping.
