Link Sticky?
Could we get a sticky thread with related BTW links in it? This request comes from complete and unadulterated laziness ... but I jump from machine to machine a lot and find bouncing from this forum, to the MC official thread, to the wiki, to the recipe quick links, etc., a bit Google heavy at times....

Re: Who here makes their own mods?
Is this based on just the MCP site or are there other tutorials people have found? I used this http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/264114-tutorialthe-quickest-path-to-modding-complete-beginner/ information to sort MCP and set it all up correctly in Eclipse aswell as the MCP wiki info :) I'm very mu...

Re: question regarding dung with mo'creatures?
so the question is dung works with standard MC wolves ... but does it also work with Dr.Zharks mo'creatures wolves? at least i believe he has wolves Unfortunately the way Minecraft treats modding it would make this kind of cross-mod compatibility pretty difficult, I think. If I understand how the m...

Re: Thanks for the new version Flower!
I was surprised how fast it was after the MCP update.
Now if Millenaire and Mo Creatures could follow suit, I could update my current normal world properly :)

Re: Issue with mechanical power
Yeah, I think it was burning behind my back - conveniently at times when I wasn't watching it. Seems a bit strange I never even noticed it on fire - also that axles being just wood and rope don't burn (which is why I thought it just mysteriously broke originally). But, - cauldron fire moved....

Re: Issue with mechanical power
And does a gear box disappear if it breaks? The one I have over the mill stone has disappeared twice. I'm not sure, but if you break it with axe, then it should not disappear. It's wooden as well as other wooden things in this mod it's axe-brokeable.(It taken about 3 updates to Notch to just do this...

Re: Un-Offical Suggestions List
I think my only suggestion so far (and apologies if already posted around) is to allow dung production from other animals like pigs and cows. I get the joke, but some seeds are just less wolf friendly than others. Bumping as I saw it pop up on the Turtles forum, but can't post there. One argument a...

Re: Issue with mechanical power
Oh it works now, I found out that I couldn't just attach it to the axle. I had to make a stack of blocks and then attach it in the opposite direction. How do you mean? I think I'm having the same problem. I have a mill stone, axle up to a gear box, two axles to the right of that gear box, another g...

Re: Horizontal Water Wheels
No worries. So the wiki's reference must be referring to North/South v East/West orientation. Got it.Battosay wrote:Won't happen, sorry.

Horizontal Water Wheels
Are these possible? The wiki suggests they orient to their axle/mount, but when I place an axle in a ground with plenty of free space, the wheel won't attach.

Re: Who here makes their own mods?
I'm considering it. I used to mod the Unreal engine a lot, Minecraft is the first game in a while to make me consider getting back into it. Was waiting for MCP to be on 1.7, now I just need some free time.

Re: How Mod / Code updates are made (in general)
From how i interpret it, they are going to make the Source Code available to Modders as he felt that making a pre-defined API would do more harm to the modding community than good (creating very strict limits to what people could access and mod). This would mean that MCP would be retired. There wou...
