I don't know if this has been mentioned before or not but here goes nothing. I was thinking maybe in a future tech level or something we could have generators and/or motors that either power redstone or power mechanical stuff from redstone respectively. You could also so that they aren't too overpow...

I think it's a definite possibility. It's one of the reasons why I put the saw in as an alternative grinder that won't potentially disappear in an upcoming version (disassembling mob traps is a pain). I also believe the saw is more efficient as it doesn't burn a portion of your drops and can be set...

I learned about all that when I was uploading this http://www.mcschematics.com/index.php?topic=6544.0. All of my carefully planted/harvested hemp was on the ground when i logged back in :P

Now that is where MCEdit comes in handy :) uhh just a warning (and im not a 100% sure on how this works but ill give it a shot) You may find that after using MCEdit you need to replace all your windmills and waterwheels... i think this is due to the fact that MCEdit does not quite register entities...

Now that is where MCEdit comes in handy :)

This one I got someone on another forum to make for me.

A way to help it pick up al the blocks is by using water right underneath the saws, this could push all the materials to the hoppers...

Perfect for keeping the mobs out of my underground lair. more more ogres breaking into my home :)

you could make it go up so that its close to 15 blocks then use the torch method you had but just use it to invert the signal and continue this all the way up the column

you could also jsut send a tower of torches? it would make a 1x1 footprint instead

Had in it a cobble room with the hibachi and couldron in it and left to go mine while food was cooking, i came back to find 3/4 of my ship gone and 1/4 in flames... thank god for world backups :) Dude, you just recreated the Hindenbur...

Yeah, transporting steam is not complex. Actually, it is. That's part of the reason axles can only transmit power over 3 lengths. Re-enforced axles have been suggested numerous times, but the code involved adds more complexity (and possibly performance hits) than any benefit offered. Im not too inc...

I hope I will not get in trouble for this, but I am looking for a possibility to set up a server with BTW mod as well as a few others on it. I was thinking using ItemCraft as a method to do this. I am wondering if it were possible to do this firstly, and secondly if I would be allowed to do this. 1)...
