Re: diamonds where?
Diamonds are only found in the lowest strata - So finding them requires caving.

Re: Steam Sales
Dark souls 3 is 50% off, which is a pretty good deal. Great game, if sadly linear compared to the previous games. The DLC isn't on sale, but not particularly important - if you enjoy DS3 it's worth the money, but not having it doesn't take away from the game. The only thing I've bought so far isn't ...

Re: Hardcore Stumping (Spoiler Thread)
Slightly off-topic, but has anyone noticed the other new item texture in this update? I went in to get the texture filename for the stump remover and noticed a copy(?) of the arcane scroll texture labeled "fcItemAncientProphecy". Curious as to whether this has anything to do with stumps o...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.A2 Timing Rodent b) - NO SPOILERS
Hardcore stumping has basically forced something that I always intended to do when I started a new world, but never actually stuck with, so I'm pretty happy with it. Hopefully this will be the world that I actually get to the mid-game in. It's been so long :/

Re: Steam Sales
Wow Citieskylines is amazing, I should have bought it st full price! This is the spiritual successor to SimCity 4 hands down, just amazing. I tried it during a free weekend awhile back and found that while it was initially fun, it had very little extended play value. By the end of the weekend, with...

Just finished it. it was pretty good, And there'll (supposedly) be a second campaign on release so I have an excuse to go back to it.

Zachtronics made a new thing - SHENZEN I/O
Just thought I'd mention it, since it largely flew under my radar. Seems to be an expansion on what they did in TIS-100, just this time with a rather polished UI and much larger PDF manual. Edit: having put a bit of time into it, it's actually damned good. I'd definately reccomend it if you liked TI...

Re: Gamemaker: Studio Pro (humble bundle)
I'm kinda giggling at the people that haven't heard about either Gamemaker OR Humble Bundle. That's really strange to me, since Gamemaker has been THE engine for hobbyists for over a decade and Humble Bundle is just super famous and has been discussed on this forum several times in the past IIRC. B...

Re: Gamemaker: Studio Pro (humble bundle)
Yeah. I'll be spending tonight powering through as much as I can so I can give a slightly more informed opinion for people on the fence before the sale ends, but so far; as someone who has tried, and failed, to learn programming in the past, the fact that the tutorials always have you *doing* someth...

Re: Gamemaker: Studio Pro (humble bundle)
Yup, just bought and installed it. Copy/pasting all the codes was the most if only arduous part of the experience.
I didn't have any problems getting activated/registered though - everything was practically instant.
Edit: Huh, these tutorials are pretty good.

Gamemaker: Studio Pro (humble bundle)
Has anyone here had any experience with Gamemaker? Because for some insane reason Humble bundle have it, alongside a bunch of example games, for less than fifteen quid. (or a dollar for just the basic thing) I'm probably going to pick it up before the sale ends one way or another, I'm just kinda cur...

Re: KSP 1.2 in Pre Release
Thanks for the info man! Much appreciated! You're welcome mate. Edit: Worthy of note, Porkjet's been doing some remodelling of engine parts - currently available as an 'official mod' but I think I read that it'll be going in the base game when done. Of interest to you FC, is that there is now a 'st...

Re: KSP 1.2 in Pre Release
They've got a large document on it Here . Thanks. Big documents aren't exactly my thing anymore (eyes and all that) so if you could answer a question or two to save me the read, I'd be much obliged: Is there any balancing factor for manned missions with this? As far as I knew, and lacking any life ...

Re: KSP 1.2 in Pre Release
Any word on the communications stuff and whether it turned out to be worth anything? I lost most of my interest in KSP when 1.1 came out without that as the thought of doing a big BTSM update (still had to update for the newest aero) without any new gameplay to speak of was just too depressing :P I...

Re: KSP 1.2 in Pre Release
Odd how these things happen - I decided to check scott manley's youtube channel for the first time in ages (having largely lost interest in KSP myself) and right at the top of the page was his 1.2 preview vid. Unless they've changed things since 1.1 I'll have to wait till release to try it out since...

Re: Ark: Scorched Earth and Early Access DLC
Until people wake up and see how much of a scam early access is, they're going to keep getting used. It saddens me that this is the lesson that people are learning in this. To me, early access has provided me with a wealth of really interesting indie titles that probably wouldn't have been made oth...

I'd love to know what it was that made SG:U get canned so early. I thought it was great, and I can barely stand to watch TV these days.

Aye, gave this a shot after hearing about it being released on nerd^3's postcast. I'm not a huge way in, but it's been good so far. Some of the new pokemon designs are a little derpy but nothing game-ruining.

Re: Windows 10 to kill steam?
Well, I've taken the plunge. Not a huge fan of the 1 minute-per-sentence slideshow telling me 'things have improved' and that there are 'things to be exited about' first time I logged in though. After not responding to any input I was about to reboot my PC when the text changed to tell me not to :v ...

Re: Windows 10 to kill steam?
I've been procrastinating regarding the update for a full year now - hard to believe the deadline is in 2 days. Is it worth upgrading from 8? I can't say I've seen any features in that actually seem worth the hassle when I'd likely be buying a new PC before 8 stops being supported.

Re: Hodor!!!!! - Game of Thrones spoilers
Anyone else got an opinion on translated books/movies/etc? Only knowing english I'm stuck with whatever translation's provided, unfortunately. Subtitled with original audio tends to be best though, since you can always pick up emotions easily enough and it tends to be easier on the ears than a poor...

Re: The Souls series
Havel's shield has always been the go-to if you want to tank anything the game throws at you - the thing's a beast. In DS3 right now, one of the more....broken PVP builds at the moment is just two-handing a havel's greatshield and laughing at any pitiful attempts to break your guard. Maybe throw in ...
