Re: Golden armor, weapons, and tools in BTW
If I can get my hands on enough gold, I want to deck a couple of zombies out in full armour and post them as 'guards' by my nether portal.

Wayhey! Someone else can join me out in exile.
In other news; if anyone has any designs/ideas for the southern nether fortress [also in need of a better name], if anyones interested in teaming up give me a poke.

I'm generally building roads, and digging out riverbanks
- boats are pretty decent, but rivers often have a few tight spots that need fixing.

Re: SFS beacon questions?
My only experience with SF beacons has been on Pk's server. I've suffered multiple deaths when bound to that beacon- while only about 2 of them landed me back at the beacon. Given the beacon is at spawn, and my base is on a different continent- I generally head home via the nether. Could be related ...

I beg to differ; steel just makes groth easier to remove.Mason11987 wrote:Not that mycelium is all that great anyway before you can get enough steel to survive the nether groth.
Surviving and living without steel is seriously fun- usually in the 'oh shit this is dangerous' way.

Re: Show us your builds!
I can see a few things to help reduce the size. Though my first point would be to recommend tinkering in your survival world; I find playing around and climbing into the build helps me think things through it a little easier. It almost becomes a form of meditation sometimes. As for your design; turn...

Judging by the noises coming from one of my cages

a wolf will turn on his brethren if he's hungry enough.
I never saw what happened, it was over in a few seconds- with one wolf remaining and no trace of the deceased.

Re: Feedback Request: Build breakers
I can't really give you a solid yes or no without knowing what I'm agreeing to. Going by the previous pattern- the world resets didn't really feel unnatural or forced. I felt your updates followed a fairly smooth transition that allowed players to switch over in their own time. If its something that...

I'll put a named chest of "wolf feed" next to my cages.
- if anyone wonders through then please do.
(thinking about how many people live in the HCS zone, it might be a good idea to mark your wolf location)

Re: Automatic wheat farm, detector block issues?
This is pretty easy to test; check your detectors when the wheat is fully grown- If you can invert a few torches than its working. I've never used them vertically above the wheat before. [I can't see why it'll make a difference but you never know] If that works then try controlling your circuit from...

Re: Fracking Lava
Just keep trying for caves. Though if you've already found some diamond around the lava; then a stone shovel or two will sort that. If theres a decent air pocket above the lava, bridge over it; sometimes theres a continuation of the cave or a side passage worth exploring. A recent run of mine took 4...

Slightly gold intensive- but you can use pistons to make a counting mechanism. [vanilla style tech]
Edit: if you're building a chicken farm [or some kind of animal feed]
- why not leave the turntable on its slowest setting, and have enough chickens to eat the resulting flow of seed?

A few people have suggested that I join this server- I already see a few names I recognize from PK's and Eric's. 1) CelestialPhoenix 2) Playing for over a year on PK's server. I prefer out and out survival and building everything from scratch. 3) Normally around 70. 4) Triple Chocolate. Only due to ...

Look at automatic melons/pumpkin/sugar, and auto harvest for wheat ect
Its fairly simple to design, and does something cool.
A good second project would probably be a mob grinder- with divertable water to control autokill [items] and manual kill [exp].
