Re: Managing security at bases

Even for early hole-in-the-wall bases, there are tips and tricks that really reduce the tension of the first few nights. In particular, grates, crafted with 4 sticks, make fantastic early-game windows by letting in the moonlight without letting arrows or wolves in, which really helps before you hav...

Re: Blaze rods, slime balls, and fire resist potions

Well, the cool thing about blazes and slimes is: 1. you can build a farm for it, so yeay for building and 2. blaze rods and slimeballs have other uses. So the current system feels like pretty rewarding gameplay to me. Yeah, the magma cubes are kind of useless, but the current system works. Overhaul ...

Re: Clay ball recycling builds? [SPOILERS]

Well, you could push the clayblock up with a chain of pistons. Then at the turntable you could let your block dispenser (A) and recycled clay (B) take turns. So ABABAB. Or, you could do this: activate block dispenser; it places a clay block. Turntable rotates and you get your urn/planter/whatever. T...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of July 22nd)

Incremental releases sound great. (I'm assuming like how you've been doing BTW) But I'm guessing there will be quite some time before there's anything resembling a playable game and I was just looking forward to hearing something in the mean time. I enjoy reading your thoughts on game design. :) We...

Re: Leviathan (Biomes O' Plenty) Better Than Solo [BTW 4..89

I just claimed a large patch of land to build my base in the long term. It consists of a marsh biome and some surrounding territory giving me access to 2 rivers and a beach giving me access to the sea. The land is next to Batto's and my base. Signs with the following text indicate my claim: "Cl...

Re: Leviathan (Biomes O' Plenty) Better Than Solo [BTW 4..89

Hey, can someone please explain why the server is dead? Every time I log in there is no one else on. It used to be so active. I didn't start over to play on a dead server :( Is it because the BoP has been dropped? Playing on an abandoned server is not fun, it beats the point of multiplayer. Hope to ...

Re: Has anyone else fallen in love with diamond shovels?

Ow! Thats pretty smart! I tend to use diamond axes a lot, as building with wood tends to consume a lot of axes early game. Since you gave me a tip ill give you one too! Early when you are out to get wood, leave the stumps of the trees. Not only it leaves a cool deflorestation effect around your bas...

Wow so many changes in this one. Did you just try to fix everything in one update? Guesz you really want to go home. I can't waitto try it all out. Really intrested in how the new need for gold is going to play out. And the enchanting and pistons and this and that... It's so much awesome content. Gr...

Re: Stuff that never felt right.

Yes you could use the ''existing'' roads, but you probavly want to expandit a bit redstonewise and trackwise for precise delivery. Presenting more interesting gameplay than teleporting stuff. Besides does every enderchest on your smp world a railconect fit for itemtransport? I doubt it. All the alr...

Re: Stuff that never felt right.

OK, but you still have to build roads for players, right ? So even though you will not specificly build trade roads, roads will still be built. With booster rails, don't tell me that using carts with players or chestcarts makes a difference. I don't see anything a trade road would need that wouldn'...

Re: [1.5.2] [4.89] Biomes O' Plenty 0.0.7 - BTW Edition

Wolves generate in most of the snowy biomes and some of the forested ones as well. I have already run into a pack on my first day. I think which huts are restricted to vMC swamp biomes. Although there are two swampy BoP biomes that they would fit into nicely. Fortunatly they are not essential to te...

Re: Stuff that never felt right.

Because there is no bilding involved. Yes they are sort of expansive, but it's just going up the tech tree. They teleport stuff! How is that not op? On the server I play all trade is done with obsidian beacons, so there are no limitations. Two players that are 10000 blocks away from eachother can tr...

Re: [1.5.2] [4.89] Biomes O' Plenty 0.0.7 - BTW Edition

I would love to play with this mod, but I'm worried about the amounts of wolves. In vanilla wolvss spawn in forests and taiga. Do any of your biomes spawn wolves? Because I do wanna play with so many biomes, but not if only 2 of them can give me wolves for dung. That would be very frustrating.

When I just started playing magic, I played against roughly that deck I think. A guy from my fencing lessons played a bird tribal deck that was way better than my starter kamikawa spirit deck, but he was terrible so I won most of the time :D

Hardcore smelt will surtenly motivate me to improve my kiln set up. Also always love extra shears functionality. I love b...

That's it. Your reaction to this change, is roughly the same as to when hardcore spawn was first added. Or hardcore buckets. But look at each of those changes, hell look at every hardcore * change put in the mod. Just last week people were saying how night and day the mod is from vanilla or even BT...
