Metal tools can be recycled in the crucible and unless something changes it looks like item repair will be in Minecraft 1.9 or 1.10.

To make it less OP I think the recipe would be more like 9 ender pearls around a chest. Endermen are also supposed to be more rare, so it seems fair.

I think the coal tar would probably be the simplest solution. However, the blueberry bushes with unique farming properties would be neat and give us more to automate. So far my favorite feature is the water droplets if there is water above you. lol
It's just a really nice subtle touch.

Wow. I'm seriously impressed.
Just downloaded. Made a creative map and went straight to the nether. The 2 new mobs are pretty cool. Some generating issues with the nether brick, but it's suitably epic so far.
Plus the snowmen...are...actually...kinda fun...

That should actually look pretty good. Could also be part of the crafting, would make it interesting.

I agree. I really hope the 2 new mobs Jeb is adding to the nether are so badass it makes up for this.

I would love to not need another mod for this particular functionality.
To me it only makes sense for us to have other ways to harness the element of water. We have a few ways to harness fire.
