Re: Cracked Article About Video Game Industry

I think another problem is that certain giants don't realise how bad a name they're developing for themselves trying to sell more (I'm looking at you EA). Hell, it's the Firefly Effect for gaming.

Re: Blight: Peoples experience with it. [SPOILERS]

Blight kills leaves up to a certain height from the ground, leaving the stumps behind. And logs? Tell me it's logs. I want to decimate a jungle biome. Logs are left behind. Thanks a lot for killing my dreams. I guess it's better than nothing I suppose. I still looks decimated, what with no leaves, ...

Path of Exile - Thoughts?

http://pathofexile.com

It's free to play, it's not pay-2-win, and it looks sweet. Other than that I know no more about this game than what's on the website. So, from all those who may have played it, what's it like?

P.S. Aaand I suck and talking/typing

I'd suggest fishing off the side of a mountain for food. That is, unless you make it to a new area.

Wikipedia quote time: According to Nozaki, the word kitsune was originally onomatopoetic.[3] Kitsu represented a fox's yelp and came to be the general word for fox. -Ne signifies an affectionate mood, which Nozaki presents as further evidence of an established, non-imported tradition of benevolent f...

Re: So i just discovered...

And in my studies of Japanese, there is not a single onomatopoeic word I could figure out without having to look up (though that's an exceptional case; Japanese has sounds for things that don't even make noise!) It's ironic because the only one I know of is Kitsune, which is the sound a fox makes (...

Re: How to control the future

Oh, we brought quantum mechanics onto table! Then here's a brain teaser: how can you observe only one state of the system, when you are the part of the quantum system yourselves? My initial, completely unjustified, response would be: Do you? For instance, we receive two sets of images from our eyes...

your first assumption is wrong, and your question defies actual understanding of the basics of space-time. Interesting you should say that since your response "defies actual understanding of the basics of space-time". Namely, The fact of the matter is that the future is absolute, and the ...

Here's one: If time and space are the same thing (space-time) and we move through time (1 second/second) like we do space, why can't we simply *stop* moving through time like we can space?

On a more sensible note: As soon as I can achieve a stable orbit in vanilla (and seeing Icy do it I'm not sure how I've managed to mess it up until now) I'm getting this, no ifs or buts.

May I make a small observation here? The problem is, after I find a village, note down where it is on my map, and then come ...

I don't know. If they do it right, it'd be nice to see a tech tree based on "we have more manpower than research funding" where it starts manned because they have the people to waste etc.

I doubt it'll turn out that way though.

Only you. Only you could have me stroking my controller to see if it really makes a difference. Although more tactile feedback is awesome I must agree. Re: So this is new (Steam Controller)

I'd query how tactile pushing a small stick around is though. Personally I don't see a tactile difference between running my finger over a surface that offers resistance and pushing a stick that offers resistance. That and really, tactile feedback is poor at best at the moment anyway, allowing for y...
