Re: Protesting against SOPA

Actually, SOPA isn't dead. It was shelved, but some random politician said they're bringing it back in February. So we still have to worry about it, not just PIPA.

Re: 40000th post approaching

I used to post more when I came here, but I've had less time in the past few months so I haven't been able to post before anything I'd wanted to say had been said.

Re: WTF Splash text?

Maybe it's screwing up trying to display a UTF-8 one (is that what it's called? All the special characters not in ASCII)

Here's a link to all the splash texts, didn't see yours though =\.

Re: Useful Links (Wiki, Recipe List, MC Forums, etc)

Added a link to the thread for the IRC channel. I had no idea there was an IRC channel until now. And, I'm an IRC junky. Been that way since I was, like, 14. Joined. EDIT: Also, I'm still holding out on the pipe-dream of seeing either an add-on for CraftGuide that would support the anvil's 4x4 reci...

Re: Beginnings of a TP

Ah, now I see it. I think I didn't quite get what you were saying before, but I get it now. Yeah, should probably change that. Many good texture packs have their own style that they go for whether that be RPG, Comic-strip, realism, simplicity, ect. Some of your blocks (cobblestone and solid ore bloc...

Both off of painterly and jolicraft (currently using jolicraft for bedrock and other various things). However, on the topic of the stone brick (yeah, it is stone brick) I just have it cut half and half instead of two-thirds or whatever. Here's what it looks like with a few in a row: http://i1185.pho...

Beginnings of a TP

Please give me *constructive* criticism, as I know there are things wrong with it. It's not complete by any means, (still haven't finished all the vMC blocks) but here's what I have so far: v1.0 http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z350/Camerinthus/Minecraft/MC%20Texture%20Pack/tp1.png What I think n...

The top two are mouldings instead of panels. (You have mouldings, they need to be panels.)

Re: [BTB] BD dispenses pipes as items, not blocks

I'll do that, I just thought FC might not see it while wading thru all of the pages there =/ Also, my game seems to crash if I place a wood engine. Everything else, even other engines, works just fine =\ Just thought I'd point out that I have all the latest versions of the mods. BTB, BC, and BTW (a...

Downgraded to Java 6, but it's still happening. It's happening to my main world too, once I added a few BTB pipes + stuff.

Re: Love-mode problem when animal pairs fed at same time.

Glad you're enjoying the mod man :) As for your problem, I'd recommend not spacing out your animals quite so far. I suspect what is happening is that you're just on the border of their breeding range, so depending on their orientation or what have you, they may or may not be able to breed at any gi...

So THATS where I saw that. It's exactly what came to mind when I saw this. Also, might want to put the pic in a spoiler, my mouse wheel nearly lit on fire :p

Re: TTWTTTTT (First test release out!)

I might actually use this. I think it's pretty neat, and it's definitely well-executed. I like the idea of cobble->smoothstone in direct lava + water.

Lapis? It's underground and only requires a stone pick, I think. Maybe it is iron, I'm not sure.

Re: [WIKI] A comprehensive guide to editing the BtW WIKI

I don't know if this would make it easier to get people to view/edit the wiki, but integrating PHPBB with Mediawiki is a possible option. There's a link here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:PHPBB/Users_Integration Slight derail, I guess directed at sargunster or something since he seems to ...

Re: Useful Links (Wiki, Recipe List, MC Forums, etc)

I'm about 10% done on a recipe list. It keeps getting pushed behind finishing my automated breeding farm. Plus, I'm not a graphics artist so it wouldn't look as good as durandr's did.

I agree with BigShinyToys' idea, actually. I think making it out of clay would be a good option. Perhaps not just regular clay, but some addition.

Re: Urrhhh WATERMILLS!

Will it not place at all, or does no power come from it. If it's the later, it might be a gearbox issue. Make sure the gearboxes are facing the correct way. (And it is being placed on an axle, too, right?)

Re: Urrhhh WATERMILLS!

It can look like this just fine:

X[][][][][]X
X[][][][][]X
X[][]A[][]X
X[][][][][]X
XWWWWX
XXXXXXXX

A is the axle, W is water, put a source block on one side, and stick your waterwheel on the axle.

Re: Crashing

Yeah, after googling I decided it was either due to my graphics card or Java. I upgraded to 7 just before this started happening, so I'm gonna downgrade again after the ATI update finishes. Hopefully that'll fix it.
