Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I respect that man to hell and back. I also feel kinda sorry for him. I think minecraft kinda ruined his life. Making him a millionaire aside. He seems like a very down to earth guy that really loves doing what he loves doing. And he had to find out the hard way what big groups of people can do. Th...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
my opinions about Mojang as a company (that they are a stagnating one trick pony, at least apart from Notch) do not line up with purchasing them for 2 billion dollars. Actually i've seen the one-trick-pony argument a number of times already. Mojang makes money in the order of 100 million. for 2 bil...

Re: 7 Days to Die - and How I'm now Spoiled
Oh on the blog: http://joelhuenink.tumblr.com/post/90414229248/8-7-on-the-way Another feature we’re doing for A9 is zombie gore blocks. Basically when a zombie dies his corpse will degrade into a pile of meat. Meat biodegrades to bones and bones into dirt. The interesting part here is if a zombie di...

Re: 7 Days to Die - and How I'm now Spoiled
There are a couple of more things in 7Days that are cool/weird/annoying *zombie hordes can be derpy. I'm hiding underground, crouching, not making any noise. Suddenly, zombies (without detecting me!) start digging at my entrance. The entrance is built such that they don't get stuck (so i think) so i...

Re: 7 Days to Die - and How I'm now Spoiled
The glass jar thing is more a balance thing than a 'believable' thing. I agree it throws you when you down some water and suddenly your jar is gone, however if jars were to persist there would be no point scrounging glass or sand and creating them. i do know why it's there. It's the immersion that'...

Re: 7 Days to Die - and How I'm now Spoiled
Played it a bit. Thankfully i watched your LP series with Icy as it helped a LOT. However, torches do not seem to slow down the undead. I checked the wiki and it said so too. I actually kind of like this. Only forges and campfires now slow the undead. The glass jar thing ("real men smash their ...

Re: Robocraft
For a few points you make, i agree. However, on others i cannot say that i do. Recent updates actually added value to the type of armored block that youre building your bot with. they also decreased that area of effect railguns used to do which means that they only punch holes through (and not take...

Re: Yogventures blows a cool half mil
From where i'm standing, it looks like a classic failure of experience. If winterkewl pays 35K for an artist but has no clause to prevent it from moving over....those are beginner mistakes. This whole "who has the money?" deal is a red flag that no proper budget planning was made. It's jus...
Re: Robocraft
I played it. It's fun, it's cool, it's also short and very much unbalanced. It's good to boot up, play a couple of games and make a wacky design, then go do something else. It's a snack game. They recently overhauled the Tech tree (partially for the better) so now you start with only 1 gun type. How...

Ahh, I didn't realize this was possible. Of course, I've hardly use comparators, I still don't honestly 100% understand them. I've used analog for a few things, but nothing big or complicated. if they had been actual comparators, it would've been easy to understand them. Unfortunately, Mojang cramm...

I came across some cool mods, while hanging around the mod scene a bit: [..] Radiation (WIP): http://forums.keenswh.com/post/7012685 i like the radiation idea. I do feel like Space Engineers is a box of lego, but nobody figured out what to build with it. It contains all sorts of pieces but nothing ...

I assumed they targeted you if you were moving too quickly, but something Gil said in the chat after I captured the escort made me think they might not attack you at all. i believe the magic value was 3m/s. Below that they don't target you. maybe the civil and military ships need editing too, if th...

i know charged creepers occur when a lightning bolt hits one but... how on earth are you supposed to get a head then, since it's so rare?
EDIT: mark my words: in a couple of days, somebody makes a charged creeper farm and blows up a glitchmob of 20 0000 0000 mobs with 1 charged creeper.

Well... Mostly useless. This will be useful for adventure maps and factions and such. But thats what wool blocks are for, sure they may be a lot bigger and more pixelated but they worked. And block flags are something you build and take down, not something pre-made. it follows mostly the paintings ...

Re: KSP .24 Feedback
Yeah I agree the particulars of the missions can be too specific. The speed requirement simply makes no sense and is the one i hate most. Especially the upper values. I saw I had one for activating a jet engine on the Mun. Obviously nothing will happen but getting it there for testing cheaply is an...

Yeah even with nixing the ability to save/load it is pretty easing going so far. I am liking the versatility of the contracts, some with very specific parameters. I was going to do mission reports but it just does not have the daunting feel of BTSM. You can get away with criminal exploits like OP r...

So...does that evil rabbit really do 4 hearts of damage on normal?
i mean, that thing looks like an average white bunny. I get the whole killer rabbit joke but surely it could be a little less "IMMA BLOWUP YUR FACE" and confusing with regular bunnies?

Losing my vision is only second on my list of fears next to losing my cognitive abilities. Yeah, you and me both man :) We'll see. I'm trying to avoid panicking about it until the specialist has a look and can give me a better idea of what's going on. Guess that's part of why I've been reluctant to...
