http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/6419/20120706022051.png What? no red skies above the stronghold... no gaping chasm into the abyss where terror thrives and the unspeakable live? I'm disappointed :( Seriously though, I'll have to go searching for the library in mine... I'm hoping it's not torn in tw...

Re: Phase 5?
Why? because in FlowerChild's world there are no strongholds, hence no stronghold libraries. That's not true actually. I've got about half a stronghold in my world :) Seriously, I have a single end portal that lays just a few chunks from the edge of old world-gen data. Here's the view from directly...

Re: Phase 5?
I'm surprised no-one's made the connection between the salt and nether sludge. And that nether sludge is supposedly a clay-like substance. And that the sludge -> clay recipe was removed pending a more fitting method. And that BTW likes using filters for things. You can't filter out salt from water ...

It was also in Flower's video showcasing it although I think he had to take all his videos down. It is a feature allowing toggle gates to be set up. You can also do it with two redstone torches instead though.

It can be placed on top; you simply have to place a block behind it and right click that rather than the millstone. There is no need for extra code when such a simple workaround is available.

Re: Iron Golems drop XP
I originally though snow golems would be great for enticing mobs into traps or as sentries around my base, but as they do no damage and can be killed by skeletons, they aren't very effective. Cats with their creeper repelling are much more useful.

Re: Sharing useful designs that get the job done
I'm not sure how reliable this is but, if you turn off the middle hibachi (in the 9x9 grid under a cauldron/crucible), it effectively turns the whole thing off. The cooking indicator starts to rise every few seconds if the fire is stoked (I presume due to fire spreading), but it never reaches comple...

It would defile Euler's Identity. And my handwritten taus are terrible. ... e to the i*Pi = -1. BUT, e to the i*Tau is 1. What's more perfect than THAT? I always write it as e^iπ +1 = 0. Tau is too easily confused with pi and would require too much effort to implement for the scant benefit it affor...

Re: End stone solution.
I know it's offtopic but, did i heard infinite clay? Plis tell me how to produce clay ;) It's not producible. Since the minecraft world is effectively infinite any material without restrictions on number is also effectively infinite. The only overworld block that I can think of that isn't infinite ...

Re: End stone solution.
While iron is now producible from mob farms, it has always been effectively infinite along with any material generated naturally in the world. End stone is limited to the one island you spawn on.

Personally I find combat in minecraft to be a non-issue anyway. I only die to unavoidable creeper sneak attacks or falling into lava neither of which can really be solved with health potions. The stacking however is very useful for swiftness potions.

Re: An important hint on what's to come to help you prepare
Here's my possibilities: 1. Your spawn point. It is obviously a "magical nexus": You woke up there (Or at least, you entered the Overworld in that place), and you always return there once you die. Plus, the compass points there. (By the way, it would be quite cool if the only way to get t...

I think where you have said opaque you mean non-opaque. Opaque means that light cannot pass through and as such glass, BC pipes, etc. are not opaque. But otherwise thanks for the research. I suspect that the reason only blocks with air/water underneath work is that the particles must appear for it t...

So what I'm taking from this, correct me if I'm wrong/overlooking something, is that we need to be prepared to build three new bases or at least camps.

Re: A request for help!
Redstone would be very awkward but the only other solutions I can think of would create lag or timing issues. Assuming you want the pistons to move as one, the simplest way would be to have a row of lenses triggering a detector block under each piston. This however is quite an expensive solution.

I refuse to build heavily stacked chicken farms. I have 20 in a 5x5 space and that already causes performance problems on the sound loading distance. However if this change goes through I will destroy my chicken farm as it will no longer serve a purpose which is a rather slow source of tallow. As it...

Re: I realized something about why I appreciate BTW
One thing I've never understood though is how one is meant to play EE by itself. Mining is not exactly the most exciting aspect of Minecraft and you need to do a lot of it to get anything worth having. Buildcraft solves the problem I suppose but requiring another mod is not ideal. When I tried out t...

Re: An ability to dispense cement.
I have a feeling that the vanilla dispenser class is already modified in BTW so adding this to it might be easily possible but it depends on whether Flower wants to or not. As for adding functionality one can already build cement traps as cement won't solidify when redstone is applied to the source ...

The vanilla minecraft slabs can now be placed upside-down but slabs that are added by the mod can't. Wool slabs, wicker slabs and companion slabs need to be able to be placed upside-down. for what ? It's better if you wait before making such suggestions. Especially for aesthetics; they are irreleva...
