Re: Lock the suggestion forum for a week

Ideas to improve the suggestion forums have been proposed in the past. Flowerchild has chosen not to alter it. I say we let him and the other mods deal with the problem, the old fashioned way, with a banhammer. I think that that is the only solution

Re: Lock the suggestion forum for a week

The suggestions would just be posted elsewhere then. usually with the justification "Well the suggestions section is closed, but I think this is a really good idea so I'm posting it here." Of course you think your suggestion is good, otherwise you wouldn't be posting it. If not then you'r...

Re: Lock the suggestion forum for a week

I think a better solution is to just ban those involved, at least temporarily. Eventually the newbs will catch on or be destroyed. It seems we have had a large jump in stupidity the last couple of weeks.

Re: Nether Panda.

Panda I too enjoy the changes FC has made to the nether. So When I play my SSP I spend most of my time in the nether building massive forts and builds but when I play SMP the lag in the nether is so bad it's unplayable. Hopefully by the time BTW converts to the code base Mojang will have addressed ...

Re: Nether Panda.

The Nether... could be so much more hellish... Other than that it is pretty much meh. It becomes so much better as soon as I have blood wood and nether growth. I still haven't gotten over how dull it is though. but I have faith that flowerchilds plan for it.

Bricks aren't my favorite either. Though on occasion I will use them in a green house or as trim for something else..

Re: Interesting Discovery regarding the Windmill

my point was that both the windmill and water wheel are entities, and both load before the terrain does. As long as that happens people will be able to spot your stuff. And you really do need mechanical power in the overworld for things like sorting systems in mob traps.

Re: Interesting Discovery regarding the Windmill

Building in The nether would certainly make it harder to find, but there are so many things that We can't do in the Nether that we can in the overworld, including water transport, Mob farms... So for the essentials, yes, it works... but to really advance you need a lot of stuff in the Overworld.

What does this add to the mod other than make easier something that can already be done with what exists in it already?

Re: Interesting Discovery regarding the Windmill

Build your windmill at bedrock level. Bust your ever-lovin' ass to get waterwheels to work, get rid of the windmill, or use it as a lure. Simple enough to fix. You can use the hole you made for the windmill as part of your mob trap later. All these things would help.. but it still stands that it is...

Re: Theorycrafting: Steve, the black-hearted mad genius

The question I have to ask myself as far as "home" goes, is what would FC do that would give it the most interesting gameplay. Would having a bunch of Superpowerful entities such as steve make for good game play in the same theme as better than wolves, or would it become more of a sociolog...

Re: Theorycrafting: Steve, the black-hearted mad genius

In real life I take the chaotic neutral approach to things. In games I am perfectly ok with being as evil as possible. Or as good as possible. In the case of Steve, it honestly makes much more sense to me that (even without BTW) he would be evil. An immortal, Extremely powerful being. capable of jus...

Interesting Discovery regarding the Windmill

So I was shooting arrows about with my shiny new composite bow when I decided to take some pot shots at my windmill. To my surprise it Popped off in about two shots. I am assuming this is intended as opposed to a bug. The ramifications for messing with someones base from afar in anarchy play are int...
