Re: Kindling aka artificial netherrack

you just said that you tanned leather before going to the nether, that means that without netherrack the cauldron is still useful but to utilise it fully you need to go the the nether to get netherack, to build a hibachi. what your asking for and this may sound rude and it is not intended as such, i...

Re: Kindling aka artificial netherrack

the mod never was about easy though, its about earning things. going to the nether so you have a suitable fire source is one of the first and earliest bottlenecks in the mod. FC has stated that this is an endgame mod, and in VMC endgame is finding diamonds and going into the nether, by getting rid o...

Yes but it adds absolutely zero content, it does nothing we can't do already. In the interview with FC and I'm not sure if you have seen it or listened to it, and these aren't his exact words but he said something along the lines of; Combat in Minecraft is simple and should stay simple, you have dif...

A slight change to wood for tanning

As it is now it takes 16 pine,32 standard wood or 64 birch to tan a piece of leather and only those materials. I was wondering if it would be possible to do the same thing that is done with the melting of glue and make it a combination e.g 15 pine and 1 standard would still tan. Not really sure if t...

Detector block with doors

I was playing around before and realised that it would be pretty cool if the detector could tell whether or not a door was opened or closed. In SSP there isn't much use to the idea beyond making a double door or a welcome home note, but its use in traps in SMP might be able to justify it. I'm not re...

True but cauldrons have a larger inventory than hoppers, So while precision may be harder mass production isnt. I still see this as being incredibly overpowered.

Re: RTS goodness

I've heard of that one, mainly because it was created around the same time the expansion for Empire Earth. How does it play? Similar to AoE? I've thought about getting it Yeah similar to AoE but the factions were more diverse as in no two faction had the exact same units, it really was quite fun.
