Noted the same, very anoying and I it expected with the new lighting system (even tho notch says it is more efficient)
Still I am trying it on my laptop so when I have a shot I will test it on my main system....

On a more serious note: could the nethercoal torch somehow increase monster spawns? Sort of like the water candles in terraria? It would be a huge help for mob traps, but for other things too, like making colloseums If not increasing the mob spawns, maybe atract mobs to the torches, I dont know if ...

Sounds interesting...I might do something like this after the next major release. Till then, the lapis thing...you only need 2 pieces of lapis for a detector block now, so you could make 12 if you wanted. Thinking the same thing! Might even start doing it today. Edit- Battlecat you dont mind do you?

For me it is either Cs:s, sim city4, terraria and gt5...
Never was a fan of MMOs... Shame that nothing nowadays makes me exited, exept cs:go but even that was turned down when i saw the trailer :/

Knockbacks and attack animations is what i plan on doing once im proficient enough at coding... would be interesting to send creepers flying with a warhammer XD speed and damage of the attacks would be the big factor change...
