I suspect this is an exploit if it is true, but I can't test it right now.

Re: Coming from Technic

I think this is great... If all tekkit players actually took the time to see the mod before going all "hur durr btw sucks dung harharhar", I'm sure most of them would see what a horrible mess that thing is and leave it for something so much better. I agree with you at first, but then I re...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.12)

I think the little things in a game define its feel even more than the big features. This release may not be flashy or have huge new content, but I think it is certainly great.

Re: New survival game "Don't Starve"

The game is a top down survivalist game in that you must collect resources and combine them to acquire tools or make traps to catch food. Environments seem to be procedurally generated but since it's effectively 2d not really that complex and there are no elevation changes. Anyway the game is calle...

Don't get let your hopes down too soon, there's still 17 hours, and though it certainly isn't a sure thing the last 2-3 hours bring in a ridiculous amount of donations, so I think there's a chance at the documentary.

Re: Planetary Annihilation

Projections show they should reach the Galactic War stretch goal but I don't think they'll make the orchestral one. http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/659943965/planetary-annihilation-a-next-generation-rts/ At the moment, projection says we'll get orchestra if the pledges fall into the higher ranges,...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.11)

Great update, can't wait to find out what rotten arrows are, I have a few ideas though. IMO the best part about new releases is FC giving us something new to test out without handing it to us on a silver platter.

Re: First vMC video you watched.

I can't seem to find it now, but the first minecraft video was the old minecraft.net homepage video. I don't know if anyone still remembers it. I think it was called simply 'This Is Minecraft,' and I believe it was a timelapse of somepne flying around and simply showcasing the landscape. It was very...

Re: Planetary Annihilation

Yeah, galactic war looks pretty awesome. It is way better than a scripted campain, and is actually rather similar to what Anarchitect suggested. According to kicktraq , the average projection says they will reach it, but there is always the chance that it will not. Edit: Woot! They made $1.5M! We're...

Re: Morvelaira's News Compilation

Ok, this new pre-release has me *strongly* suspecting that someone with a fairly keen eye for design is either working at Mojang or has their ear, and is following BTW rather closely. The tying paintings into the player's in-game activities thing just a few weeks after I did the same is just a litt...

Re: Planetary Annihilation

Meh. Call me silly, but I enjoy single player campaigns. A series of linked missions is just more fufilling than infinite nearly identical random battles. Granted, what I'm really looking for here is different scenarios with varied enough win conditions that I can't just use the same build order ev...

I agree, and apparently the guys at Uber do too, hence the planned non-inclusion of a campaign, unless it does happen to be a stretch goal.

That's a project I'm glad to support, even if it's only with a small amount. TA-style rts with offline/lan support? Yes, please. I'm just rather curious to know what the last two stretch goals are. I am more hoping that they reach the two others we know about first. I certainly agree with you on th...

Re: Planetary Annihilation

It is: they will add lava planets, which give lots of energy (think liquid metal mines), but are quite volatile, and metal planets which are basically burnt-out Death Stars, which can be reactivated for a huge amount of resources, or mined for metal.

Re: Planetary Annihilation

Great news! The Planetary Annihilation kickstarter has reached it $900k goal, so this game is getting made! They have also reached $1.1M, which was their first stretch goal, namely adding planets that are mostly water, and naval and underwater units to go with them, including subs and floating build...
