you just need to pulse the dispenser once for every wolf at the beginning, and from thereon out it will produce a steady supply of dung.

Re: Boat Improvements (My Thoughts)
yeh boats suck XD with the net idea, if the net was attached to the boat, and every block the boat moves, it had a chance to catch fish (like 1/50?) it'd create a reason to go boating, as well as not overpowering the net. but as for improving boats, might as well leave the vanilla boat alone, and ju...

Re: Minecraft mapping with real world terrain data!!!
BinoAl, WorldPainter does has the option to generate ores randomly throughout your entire map. Or Tree's, or caves. Or you can paint them into the world specifically, but screw that.

if it breaks again, it could be that your redstone torches end up below each other, and invert the current at the wrong time

i really like the idea. especially with the penguins addition of making pistons mechanically powered and using the anvil below. you could use recipes inside the anvil that require the anvil to be 'powered' by the nearby piston, but only if that piston is currently mechanically powered. those recipes...

Minecraft mapping with real world terrain data!!!
Hi all, i just finished a tutorial for the MCforums, and wanted to share it here as well... It will teach you how to obtain real world terrain data, accurate to about 10m, obtained via satellite and then import that into a minecraft map!!! http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/992750-mapping-using-rea...

question re hemp growth
i've read before that the growth rate of wheat is effected by the number of fertile land surrounding the growing wheat (see: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Wheat_Farming). basically, lets say wheat growing on fertile land will grow at a rate of 1. if you have an empty fertile land adjacent to tha...

- With the upcoming changes to mod AI, is investing time in this worthwhile? - Resource collection from mob traps would be decreased for what reason? - Why zombies, the least dangerous mob in minecraft, in particular? 1. i did consider that, and it's a very good point. probably the second most rele...

passifying zombies
zombies should eat dead zombies. meaning if you kill one then others go for the rotten flesh, which takes them a moment to eat, before they continue to chase you. this could create some cool situations in those underground scares, as well as provide a way to perhaps bait zombies into traps (put a mi...

Re: Record Farm
one thing i can suggest is putting in a big drop (16 blocks or whatever it is) so that the mobs are reduced down to 1 hp. that way, you only need the skeleton to hit the creeper once. otherwise, i've no idea how to design a record farm.

Re: Simple Passive mob breeder/ feeding system.
to be honest, i'm finding the output from this so good that i'm curious to see how it would compare to breeding harness systems, and wondering if when i get to that level of tech i'll only add breeding harnessed animals to this system as a backup. currently my cows multiply like crazy! i think the o...

Re: Simple Passive mob breeder/ feeding system.
i've been testing and extending my system... i've found a few things out: 1. don't plan on making your system too stackable/repeatable as if too close, animals from different cages will try to breed with each other, and end up stuck against walls. 2. babies can get into the nastiest of places, no ma...

i took it a step further for fun, and put in your feeders the way you designed them, with 1 addition :) results are great... though i need to redesign my floor and trap so the animals are more mobile. my current setup garentee's i'll be killing animals when they are young, unless i have a really lon...

Re: Simple Passive mob breeder/ feeding system.
i made a system a little while ago, before animals could eat wheat off the ground. it should still work now, but i haven't tested it. http://i.imgur.com/84KIi.png the water is optional. the plates distribute wheat through dispensers, and also send a signal behind them. http://i.imgur.com/sJgqU.png t...

now that i've played around with the new animal breeding i want to change my suggestion XD a feeder... if an animal walks up to it, and it has power and wheat inside, it feeds the animal. there might end up being more to it, or at least i know I'm hoping mojang prevents animals from breeding for a t...

My view on the villagers is that the current model will most certainly not be final. The nose is horrendous (though I can just make it invisible by changing the skin), and their complete lack of arms is just confusing. hehe yeh, the current villagers are very aptly being named "squidward"...

so it's probably going to be like this for at least the next month and a halfThe reason we're releasing stuff so closely now is a push before the release in November! Server admins and modders, have patience. ;)
