Re: New Release! (BTW V4.0)

He could always crank it up to 11 ;) If you've been around as long as I have, you would have stopped using the 1-10 scale around MC b1.8. Mere numbers do not serve to describe the concentrated win that is at work, here. ;) Also, a momentary pause. I haven't really gone to great lengths to express j...

I'll probably end up dividing my time between this server and Edolas, once it get's the special sauce, but I intend to be active after 8PM EST during the week, and a good bit on the weekend.

-Added full support for SMP! Yes, that's right: the moment you've all been waiting for is here, and BTW is fully multiplayer! Installation instructions for the server can be found in the readme. Further refinements will of course be made in the future, but for now: Have fun guys, and WOOT!!!! :) .....

And if the wall is wide and looks like you can't deviate from it, what you do? Drill through it. Sometimes, the answer is so fucking obvious that we don't see it. Look at your avatar. No, seriously, look. Now, remember what the very Kamina of your pic said to Simon: "Listen, Simon; don't forge...

Re: Happiness... (What the hell is it?)

So my only advice would be to stop asking the question. Don't let not knowing what happiness is keep you from being happy. Okay, so let me rephrase the question: How do I keep myself from going absolutely insane from all of the daily stress that bombards me from all angles? Aside from the typical s...

Re: Happiness... (What the hell is it?)

Overall, I think that finding a new living situation might be the best first course of action, and may resolve some or all of your other issues. If that were a reasonable possibility, I would consider it, but, as it stands now, I don't think I could reasonably live on my own and still be able to pr...

I can't give any useful input without the following knowledge: Within a margin of 5 years, approximately how old are you? I'm in my early-to-mid twenties. Overall, I think that finding a new living situation might be the best first course of action, and may resolve some or all of your other issues....

Happiness... (What the hell is it?)

Okay, so I'm trying to wrap my head around some stuff, again. Rather than turning into the sour, tantrum-prone ass-hat I have been in the past, I will instead turn to this community for some support. I get the feeling it will probably result in a bunch of circular logic and advice I have already bee...

Re: My problem with food in vMC

I mentioned this on IRC, last night, but I wanted to leave it here, because I felt it was a decent thought. The idea of having multiple food sources in vMC isn't such a terrible idea, but the execution of that idea leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of people here are bringing up good points about ho...

I'm pretty sure that's what he meant by *most*. As in: excluding the blocks/items he had already disabled.

Re: I f*cking hate JavaScript...

I think I have the code I was working with in a half-working state. The last remaining hurdle is formatting the source data so that my RegExp can properly parse the data, and verifying that my logic is solid.

So, thanks for the insight, guys. I think I can get things working from here. :)

Re: I f*cking hate JavaScript...

Thanks for the interest, guys. I think, given how complicated this is, right now, that I will shelve this until next week, and look into an additional library, like jQuery or Prototype. I've heard a number of JS devs recommend these libraries when one is trying to do lookups against other pages.

Try using a different browser, not all programs will run on IE. Other than that, not sure. Trouble is that if he's creating this for work he probably has to worry about it being IE compatible. I may be a terrible browser but the majority of internet users still use it because it's what came with th...

Re: I f*cking hate JavaScript...

What does happen when this runs on a page? And what format do you get the data in? What you can do is open up the dev tools in your browser (F12 seems to be the standard keyboard shortcut) and look at what happens in the script as it runs. That might help you find out what's wrong. Ah, that's right...
