Thanks
I didn't dive in but looks like Crafatar caches skins as well. Unless you are Mojang you aren't going to have access to skin changes immediately.

Re: Multimc and skins

I'm editing this post to clean up IP addresses and such. You can find the IP address and/or host your own legacy skins-proxy by following through the links provided. Tl;dr -- Add fcPlayerSkinURL=http://IP-ADDRESS-HERE/MinecraftSkins/ into BTWConfig.txt (near the top) of your 4.A8 BTW server. Gory De...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.A8 Milks A Tossing) - NO SPOILERS

My wife and kids were *really* bummed about the loss of skins. Which now means i have to bring in the pumpkin changes. Curse you, FC! :) [Be sure and check your paypal inbox for a material example of my resentment. My kids are growing up and the parents are getting boring but I can always hook em in...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.A7 Squid A Swimming) - NO SPOILERS

Had just talked my wife into starting our 6 (maybe 7th) playthrough with A6. Spawned in right next to jungle but there was a tiny patch of grasslands before an ocean. In a stroke of luck we also found pumpkins so it was obvious this was where first home would be. I don't think I'll mention the pumpk...

Fifth play through

So last night I finished my fifth play through (to killing the Ender Dragon) of BTW. Normally it's me and my wife but this time my kids are old enough to play with us. I still ended up building everything since that's not the part they find fun but taking multiple people into the nether, the total c...

Re: [Timing rodent b] Redstone wiring and circuitry noobery

Here's the circuits I find most useful (probably covering 95% of all things I build). * NOT, AND, OR gates (duh) * Despawn clock * Two-piston T flip-flop (design O; Switch out redstone for stone and put a redstone torch under one side of its path. When stone is over the torch it will conduct the sig...

Re: Early-game mushroom farming?

I had built an old-style mushroom farm for reds to gather mats for Hardcore Stumps. Basically tiled 5x5 areas with torch centered in the ceiling and packed earth under the mother-shroom so I knew not to pick it. At some point we found brown mushrooms so I took half the room and put dirt blocks at fa...

Re: Farming: Dung, Blazes, and monsters in general.

Blaze farm has been answered. To get started you only need a few rods so blocking up the spawner and hitting them in the knees with swords is all you'll need. Dung farm you can do by hand if you pay attention to your dog. You can make it easier by putting him on hoppers so you don't have to worry ab...

Re: [Timing rodent b] Mob spawning mechanics

1) The MC wiki has a bunch of stuff on spawn chunks and spawning, etc. Basically the spawn chunk (and probably the 15x15 chunks around it) stays in memory and active. Trees grow, cows eat grass, chickens eat seeds (but don't seem to lay) even when you are somewhere else in the world. Otherwise the o...

Re: Hardercore of Darkness spoiler thread [SPOILERS]

Ok. This is actually less brutal than I thought at first. I finally convinced my wife to start Minecraft and play on a server with me. She ended up dieing (as one does) but clicked "Respawn" without waiting for the dawn. She spawned in late afternoon. Grabbed a few wood blocks and didn't e...
