I have real mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, a controller for PC games, and on the other a controller for PC games. I'm liking what I'm reading though, and the modability of it sounds interesting.

Re: Jungle Survival [possible spoilers]
All this talk is almost making me want a save/server where everywhere in HCS range is jungle because sure "Hardcore mode" says hardcore, but nothing's more hardcore than facing the jungle and winning afaik.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Another question is how does it work with the different ceiling sizes in the nether and overworld? If I build a portal in the overworld bigger than can fit in the nether (and somehow not lag out MC), what happens on the other end?

Re: What iron tool would you make first?
My point is as soon as you have an iron pick, all your next items can be smelted 9x as fast, whereas if you don't have an iron pickaxe first that "smelt time" you're avoiding (not you specifically mind, you generically) is actually longer.

Re: Hardcore Nether Animals Discussion (Spoilers)
I'm guessing it's all to do with eating. The following is all speculation from what I've seen mind you. - Cows when bred produce random offspring. This only happens when bred, but allows you to eventually breed "pure" cows. - Sheep only begin to float when they've eaten grass. - Chickens E...

Re: What iron tool would you make first?
To those that say they don't get a pick first because of the smelt times: Why? Once you have an iron pick, cobble is in such rapid supply that you can simply build more furnaces. Each extra furnace effectively reduces the smelt time to x/(n+1), with n being the number of existing furnaces and x bein...

Soulforged Steel - Ender Dragons
Currently Soulforged Steel is the only block immune to destruction by the Wither, making it the hardiest block around. Yet the only block the Ender Dragon won't destroy is Obsidian. I don't know if there's any existing lore to explain it but it just feels inconsistent.

It's not a biome per say, but have you considered making the underground more interesting? Maybe less like swiss cheese but with bigger focal points like ravines, underground streams, villages :P ?

I shall give the Mary answer: Cheat. :P
EDIT: Considering you've just found diamonds you have a pick. Therefore I put it to you that you just find a wall and have three make a stairway up with the fourth watching their backs.

Re: Mary's LP: Now with more dung
I'm looking forward to if her justifications fail apart: Will she accept that she's cheating, reject the mod as too hard or try and persevere? I'm leaning towards the first or, failing that, second. For a second (having not watched Ep 2 yet) I thought apples dropped when you had golden dung on your ...

Re: Fat Levels
Contrary to be above I find the fat system useful when going on prolonged exploration and/or building projects as it gives me a nice safety net to fall into if run out of/don't watch my food. I do feel that it's not worth building up fat if I don't plan on going far away from my base, because it tak...

In a moment of brilliance, I just dug straight down into lava. Diamond pick, axe, shovel, and iron sword all into the drink along with a nice haul of resources from my branch mining. Go ahead...say it. I've got it coming :) Could be worse, I dug down, exposing lava. Then muscle memory took over and...

Bitchin'. I'm guessing it's uniform smelt times per category, rather than per item (from a player's view)? If it weren't 2am I'd be testing immediately. Hmm, maybe I'll work on a creeper farm that neuters them then releases them into the wild :P Pre-Post Edit: GAH, SO MANY NINJAS. Can't post for new...

Re: [1.5.2] [4.88/4.87] Biomes O' Plenty 0.0.3 - BTW Edition
I think there might be a bug that causes volcano biomes to be the only one that is generated. I must have flown 1-2 km and it was nothing but volcano. Still happened when I used a seed. I've definitely encountered others (there was a snowy biome next to the volcanoes near my spawn), although upon r...

For Blight in the nether, how about a deep purple. A nice royal purple'd contrast nicely with the rich red of Groth.

I don't know. I see a big part being your ability to (not so) politely tell people to "fuck off". That ability to tell people no without fear of response.
