Re: Opinions on Obsidian Machine

That's the second time I've seen that abbreviation on this forum today. It keeps throwing me for a loop. A quick google search tells me that it currently stands for Q uoted F or T ruth. But in my day, it stood for Q uit F ucking T alking, which is pretty much the opposite meaning contextually. Hehe...

Re: Opinions on Obsidian Machine

No one is ripping on you personally. We're just trying to clear up where we stand on how this functions alongside basically infinite redstone capabilities and block dispenser automation since you were asking. Last thing we want to do is discourage you from playing the game. Yeah. Definitely. Not at...

Re: Opinions on Obsidian Machine

I do see it as an exploit. One that is multiplied by what you can do using BTW to automate it, resulting in the potential for a couple hundred obsidian per hour combined with a pigman farm. QFT. It's pretty unbalanced, imo. But, if that's your bag, then definitely enjoy it. I'm more the HCB type: I...

WOOT! Congratulations. Can't wait to see how it goes for you. The gaming world is going to be better for this, I'm certain of it.

Re: Kindred spirits on Project Zomboid

I'm all about the kickstarter. Donate early, get the game for less than eventual retail. Maybe have access to a developer blog, access to beta snapshots for testing, and the like as donation gifts. I think that's a winning strategy. I pledge 20 bucks out of the gate. Ditto. I'd do 20 bucks without ...

Re: Kindred spirits on Project Zomboid

...has become apparent as the months have gone by of development on BTW, my design goals, and Mojang's are becoming (or always have been but I failed to really see it beyond the "wolf" issue) increasingly different. In many ways, this whole release is a big "ok, fuck this, I'm doing ...

Re: Kindred spirits on Project Zomboid

Also though, as I've mentioned recently, I'm getting more and more serious about starting up my own indie development effort. As a result, I'm starting to pay a bit more attention to the current "leaders" in that area, and have been evaluating their various motivations and business models...

Re: Raust's Mods Thread

Hey Raust. I was curious whether you are still looking for a different way to implement the crafting table in your expanded survival tech mod. If so, I can shoot you a PM with a possibility. As i mentioned on MCF, it is a great idea, especially alongside BTW. Also thought I would mention that I'm ve...

Re: Better than Thaumcraft 2.

I've looked at Thaumcraft 2, and it has a lot of depth. It can be a bit cryptic at first, in my opinion, and could benefit from better documentation. I also am not sure it is really balanced in the presence of any other expansive mods. For instance, even though it is included in the Technic pack, it...
