Re: Show us your builds! ~Technical edition~
I'm conflicted too, because while I love the idea of cramming an infinite amount of wolves into a tight dark place covered in their own poop, I do feel like it gets too easy if you can just infinitely expand your poop machine without increasing its size. I'd love some more pics of your compact kiln ...

Re: The state of Automated Animal Breeding
¤ Yeah I'll have to agree with Aaron here, I don't feel like the babies dying of separation anxiety when they are separated from their parents yet are still within earshot of them is a bug that should be fixed (at least not in the Community Patch you mentioned Hiracho), it really feels like it fits ...

Re: Fire aspect is an actively detrimental enchantment
Well on one hand I agree that having bad enchants isn't necessarily a bad thing, just look at any ARPG, you don't get good loot if you don't have bad one to contrast it with ; but on the other hand, if you look at vanilla enchants there was never any bad enchant to begin with. Sure some of them are ...

Re: The state of Automated Animal Breeding
I played with the idea of having eggs automatically shoot out of a dispenser into a grassy underground space, but the chickens would always disappear. I suspect some kind of suffocation glitch because there was certainly enough grass down there. I'm not 100% sure that's the issue here since chicken...

Re: [CommunityPatch] List of current BTW features that should be addressed in a community patch
A lot of tech has changed considerably, big part of BTW now is that several tech levels make you build stuff differently, being limited by not having BD's and DB's has provided tons of innovative builds. Well I'd love to see those, I haven't seen any new designs posted here in years, and since Disc...

Re: [CommunityPatch] List of current BTW features that should be addressed in a community patch
I few more stuff I thought about : - Sugarcane still can be planted deep under water, allowing you to breathe and stay underwater easily, negating the need for the respiration enchantment - I can't remember if this was changed or not but the death rate of grass under water was super fast, making ani...

Re: [CommunityPatch] List of current BTW features that should be addressed in a community patch
My memory is a bit fuzzy because I haven't played the endgame part of the mod in a while, I just came back recently to have a go with the Better terrain Addon, so please forgive me if I get some stuff wrong : - There are still some gaps regarding the automation of farms and animal breeding, mainly i...

Re: Does anyone use moulds?
I'm quite late to the party, but as someone who occasionally has some wrist pain when playing too much, I always have some moulds in a chest next to my anvil to help me mass craft items for big projects. My last playthrough is a bit over a year old but I remember that I wasn't bothered to pay the co...

I managed to find some screenshots I took when I was testing what's the minimum space required to safely keep a chicken indefinitely : I tried first with fairly small pens : https://i.imgur.com/biBaoBQ.png But after only a couple weeks IG half of them were dead, and the other half was starving, abou...

Re: About keeping track of IG time in SSP and SMP (and chick
1) Damn, I absolutely love that piston ring of dirt slab to feed the chicken ! I guess you use that sticky piston behind the chocken to push the egg into the hopper while not hurting him ? That's pretty darn smart mate :) 2) I had completely forgotten about the villagers going out, I'm so used to ke...

About keeping track of IG time in SSP and SMP (and chickens)
So, I've been running some issues lately, regarding the way you need to keep track of time to automatically feed chickens. And some of it has to do with SMP, so I'll post this here rather than in the feedback section since SMP ain't the main focus of the mod. __________________ For a very large port...

Regarding zombies, "corrupted" hats and the mobcap
So, over time I've noticed that, even though my mobtrap isn't really big, I've been getting less and less drop the longer I played, which didn't make sense since I covered my entire spawn chunk area with torches and worked to lit up the caves after finishing said mobtrap. After a few days playing ar...

Re: Regarding stone and tedious repetitive tasks
Yeah I'm not really sure why either, but since I can recycle the chisel if they have a little durability left, I just feel like I have to. Might just be a habit I kept considering how important iron is for a very long part of the game ? I don't know, that's why I brought it up, I was wondering if th...

Regarding stone and tedious repetitive tasks
So I'm kind of a hoarder in Minecraft, I like having at least a double chest for pretty much everything I can, and I almost never throw dirt/gravel/cobble, keeping dozens of chests of those. At the point I'm at in my current playthrough, I usually have these 3 blocks (dirt/gravel/cobble) available i...

If you have a BB on the 2nd block above a turntable facing up (1st picture in the album), then place a solid block under the BB while the turntable is active, the BB output side will reset to facing down after 1 rotation (2nd pic in the album)

Regarding animal farming post-Animageddon (and Endermen)
So, with Animageddon, we have to keep our animals in big pens, and we can only use grass for the floor. To keep Endermen from getting in the pens and steal the grass, we can make the pens only 2 block high, and that kinda works. We can use water to gather our free-range animals in a spot to breed th...

I got killed by lightning during a thunder storm in my little portal "building" : https://imgur.com/a/oTtouR1 I was standing on the spot where the sandblock is on the 3rd pic, and the lightning killed me and set fire inside the building. Maybe something funky going on because the Nether po...

Placing pistons near powered blocks
Easier to explain in pictures :
https://imgur.com/a/MOjTZxe
When you place a piston near the block I'm facing in the 1st pic, it's properly oriented for a single tick, before updating and switching orientation, moving the block behind it.
