Re: Show us your builds!
The vessel is aesthetic only, but alter itself is fully functional- all the bookshelves are hidden in the plinth under the dragon.

Re: Show us your builds!
A lot of people rely on ancient wisdom to master the infernal alter. Great libraries full of dusty old tomes and an equally dusty old sage to do the work... Well thats just not my cup of tea. Real power comes from blood and sacrifice. https://d1zqrvc06emslq.cloudfront.net/media/originals/feedpost/f4...

2016 got us a working hoverbike prototype. Impractical, noisy, and almost impossible to control- but it looks like a tonne of fun all the same.

The Faith and the Crown are the pillars which hold up society. The tallest buildings in Kings Landing are the Sept of Baelor and The Red Keep. Quite a potent visual metaphor for Cersei clawing back power I guess this is my pet peeve for the season. When we're first introduced to the faceless, we se...

I find boats are fairly useful- head along the coastline until you see something worth exploring (jungle/desert ect), then set up and explore that biome and any useful connected biomes. Being methodical and patient is key, otherwise you'll end up getting lost or covering the same ground twice. ( you...

I'm in the same boat; the building and design aspects really take off around this point, as well as kicking off some larger projects such as a full scale mob grinder or rail networks. My other habit was the self-imposed rule of only using iron once for tools/armour (recycled iron is fine for pistons...

Re: Hardcore Spawn Difficulty
I love the HCS mechanics- but I'll be honest, at the time it sucks. It feels like a massive kick between the legs. So cling to life with everything you've got- A near death experience is one hell of a thrill ride. And coming out alive feels epic. An inherently risky activity (like cave diving) becom...

-Flour is a fairly decent food item for all you wanna-be Indiana Jones temple raiders. Cook bread at night and pick off a few animals during the day. -Lure skeletons closer by placing two blocks in front of yourself. -A small height advantage makes dealing with zombies easier. -Likewise be aware of ...

I got somewhere by retracting the twitching placenta mass into a block dispenser.
The result sort of looks like an inside out companion cube. Except it was still moving, and the eyes follow you.

Re: Some gorgeous (custom) Minecraft terrain
I dont think Minecraft Map creation is easily translatable to other jobs, but the attention to detail and knowledge of 3d space and modeling could be a good stepping stone into other stuff. I dont think experience in art has expiration dates or dead ends. Aeriooos does this for a living, so theres ...

If you're not combat ready, your best bet might be to build a sea wall and fortify that part of the island.

You could rig something with a millstone and block dispenser to separate bone [as bonemeal] from shafts. Also play around and see if you can split kibble from flesh ;) The creeper oysters/warts and slimeballs/eyes ect- how many do you really need? A few chests of each pair gives a refilling stock o...

Lot of effort down the drain. I can't tell whether I feel more stupid, or jaded. Every other building in Puerto Del Sol has a purpose. I don't like building things for fluff. I just built a massive monument to uselessness and my city is stuck with it now. Fill it with bookshelves and convert the in...

If you think in 3D and use an alternating design- you can half that cost again while being more vertically compact.
