I may not have as many posts as some here, but I've been around long enough now that I feel pretty safe asking to be whitelisted here. Up until now I've only played SSP and I'm getting a bit bored of my established base. I'd like to give SMP a try.

Re: Anyone know a good texture ripper?
I believe this software will do what you desire. I set it to split the BTWTerrain01.png into 16 columns and 16 rows, and it spit out these: http://puu.sh/2wBGi.jpg It will probably be a bit of a pain in the ass to rename everything, but it should do the job. Boats, swimming and ender pearls. It doesn't take too long to do, the hardest part is putting the right maps in the right places :Pwirer wrote:wow. 24 full maps. I'm very impressed. how'd you cover all that water?

http://puu.sh/1QqsC And that right there is a beautiful sight, though it wasn't exactly easy to acquire. Last night I killed two more withers, and had my first experience with Hardcore Spawn. With a full set of SFS armor, broadhead arrows a battleaxe and a power 4 bow the fight itself isn't exactly...

Here's a few designs I quickly mocked up. They're in no way perfect, but they look decent and get the job done. Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
According to the wiki: The Dropper is a new block added in snapshot 13w03a. Unlike a dispenser, it throws items like arrows out, instead of shooting them out. It will also store items in any chest in front of it when powered. It sounds like it does pretty much the same thing as the hopper, except wi...

Well, I finally built my first beacon in my main survival world. Behold: http://puu.sh/1OLXC It appears that the Lapis Beacon gives you an effect called "True Sight". I'm not yet sure what it does, but I would guess that it's something to complement the Ender specs. http://puu.sh/1OM2Y Oh ...

I don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but I think BTW 4.40 broke the mod. MC crashes on start with this error: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Ouch. Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
Just to add my two cents: I love my world. I started it back when Beta 1.8 came out, over a year ago. Since then, almost all of my playtime has been in this world. I've invested many hundreds of hours into this world. Obviously, it means a lot to me, especially with the more advanced automated syste...

Thanks for the update, but for some reason it appears not to work for me. Fresh 1.4.5 jar, install modloader and BTW. Game launches fine. If I drop SVMod_2-3alpha.zip into the mods folder, however, MC crashes on startup with this error: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Don't be sad. I'll do bette...

IIRC they added the potatoes and carrots without dark outlines around them, and when the community complained about the stylistic differences between the old and the new they went back and changed all the other food to be consistent with the new stuff. A little backwards if you ask me, but hey, its ...

That's kinda shitty man, and unfortunately I think you're pretty much outta luck. From the looks of things a btw update of 1.4.2 isn't that far away. It seems odd to me that the server host wouldn't let you update the jar on the current version, but I don't have much experience with using external s...

Re: Link for version 1.21
There is one very simple solution to your problem: use 4.30. It is generally not possible to download outdated versions of the mod. Is there any particular reason you do not want to use the most recent version?

Re: Redstone: a quick reference quide
As a major ignoramus regarding redstone, I'd really like an explanation of the terms used. I think I can make sense of "adder" but the other terms escape me. In other words, what would you use this for? A monostable circuit creates a pulse of a certain length. This means that you can exac...

pretty much what it says in the title. When a block dispenser picks up a piece of white stone, it picks up white cobble instead.

Could someone else confirm for me that white stone drops white cobble, even when mined with a silk touch pick? It seems like a bug, but I want to make sure that I haven't borked my install first.

You can repair the problem that you showed a picture of just by temporarily placing a layer of blocks directly below the surface. The mechanic you're suggesting seems like it would be too easy to exploit.

Amen brotha! That would be awesome! You know, I keep seeing people who HaveAUsernameLikeThis, and I instantly wonder if they're that banned user TheInfernalEnchanter. That was my first thought upon seeing him. His reference to "cheatsy-creative-mode" also reinforces this connection. Some ...
