Re: Reasons for ragequit

Usually after dying, especially to something stupid, I tend close the game and do something else to calm my nerves. Not exactly rage-quitting, more of mild-annoyance-quitting, but still.

Yeah, the smooth light stone is probably my favorite texture in your pack, it looks very good from all distances and blends with stone brick very well. Definitely keep it.

Well I always knew I wanted this since Conc. Hellfire blocks were introduced, I just thought it wasn't possible due them not having their own Block ID. I guess I was wrong.

Re: Question on eggs

It's funny though... I'm not aware of any historical non-food usages of eggs. Discounting cosmetic usages which I can't see making it into the mod. Which leads me to believe that perhaps we'll be using them to feed some kind of creature in the future that only eats eggs... Eggs historically were us...

Re: Automatical pumpkin and melon seed production

Incentive to build new automated systems is quite different from simple giving uses to useless items. And if anything the current systems is easier, you simply have to take several stacks of melon slices/pumpkins pit of your automated farm output chest, quickly convert them to seeds in crafting grid...

Re: Automatical pumpkin and melon seed production

While I understand where you're coming from, I'm actually torn on this suggestion. At the moment we have three possible methods of acquiring seeds for chicken farms: - Wheat farms are rather complicated to setup, especially with reuse of the seeds, but they have quite a nice seed output in return. ...

Automatical pumpkin and melon seed production

Could automatic conversion recipes for pumpkins and melon slices into appropriate seeds be added, so I players can directly connect their farms to chicken coops? Few simple recipes in Cauldron (or wherever you deem it fits) for new automation possibilities seems to have good bang-for-the-buck ratio.

The Chopping Block is also very nice aesthetic add-on, it looks like blood-splattered tiles, for that torture room/mad scientist laboratory/slaughterhouse look.

This is a relief as i assumed the vMC wiki was accurate. Re: Carrots and Poatoes

Actually those 3 pips ARE lost, however all food items have second, hidden, saturation value and you have second hidden hunger bar called saturation bar. Since saturation value of steak/porkchop is huge (12.8 points/6.4 pips) even if you waste 3 pips you still gain effective 7.4 pips from eating it ...

I still prefer building aqueducts since mining obsidian without constant water stream is pain in the ass because you're almost guaranteed to loose some obsidian in item form when it falls into lava.

Re: Hardcore bucket and cisterns (exploit?)

Question for FC and maybe the rest. If you had water in full vanilla cauldrons (aka cisterns), would moving it with a bucket result in a spring, or HCB fashion water? Yeah, I searched, I didn't get anywhere. Bucket doesn't "track" where you filled. Full bucket is full bucket, whether you ...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of October 23rd)

In my native language word "cistern" is used for large containers, like in water towers, factories or sewer systems, when I think cistern I think something huge holding thousands of liters of liquid, that why I thought "tub" or "washtub" is more fitting, makes vanilla &...

I don't know, considering only use for vanilla Cauldron is washing leather armor renaming it to "Washtub" may be more fitting. Cistern sounds bit too modern to me.

Re: Halloween!!

Heck, the last edition I read, they had even effectively gotten rid of cover as a consideration, due to them changing things so that you'd get *either* an armor save, or a cover save, but never both. It really seemed to have devolved into "here's my models...here's your models...CHARGE!!!!&quo...

"so much more performant" ? Ok, so why haven't they done that a while back ? It seems – tell me if I'm wrong – that Dinnerbone spends a lot of his time bragging those days... I guess it's the same "ideal but hell to implement solution" vs "simple and practical if bit less o...

Even better, carry some with you in anarchy play and people will stop trying to slap you with an axe after you blow up in their face a few times. And then random skeleton shoots you. Or you slightly miscalculate jump. Or any other case you may take damage. I wonder if this will work with zombies be...
