Been playing this game for a while now, just a warning before you spend any money, it has some really horrible coding which makes late game absolutely unplayable! Other than that it's a nice 4x and modding support should give it some longevity.

Every game engine has it's strengths and weaknesses depending on what it was designed to do - you're doing the equivalent of asking why a tractor can't use the motorways or why a Lamborghini isn't sold with a tow hook.
