Harcore packing & Piston shovel feedback

With the post on cobblestone not being able to pack I'd like to address other unpackable items that feel should be packable. Instead of making seperate topics on this, it might be nice to gather them in one thread. I feel packing and the piston shovel are related close enough to stick them together ...

Breeding wolves

The community has been trying to find a way to breed wolves, as of right now they don't seem to have any item to bring them into loveydoveymode. Either they can't be bred, or the breeding method is so obscure that no one has found out yet after all this time :) There's nothing on the changelog about...

Re: Loose Cobblestone currently unpackable

Another way, one way less cool than the piston shovel, is to let cobble fall through a spider web. Gravity blocks falling through a web revert to their inventory item. It does feel more exploity but it opens up a lot of possibilities with pumpkins and melons. It would be nice if shovels could uproot...

Re: Does anyone use moulds?

Same here. The only actual purpose I could think of using is making chain mail a one click thing on a second anvil. getting a second anvil for something so rarely used and trivial feels like a waste. I'd say it isn't worth it,

Re: Question about fishing (spoilers)

There's no such thing as depleting the fish in BTW (yet:P). It's most likely got to do with the volume. I'm not sure how it's calculated but I expect it to be checking the area around your bobber. maybe steer it toward a deeper part?

Re: Jungle Spider Trap

I can confirm that you don't need double layered spawn pads anymore. Doesn't look like you're missing anything either. I'd say the spawn rate is just too low for you to notice spawn or depending on the way you confirmed nothing spawned perhaps the few that did spawn didn't fall for your trap mechani...

Re: Animal enclosure builds

The minimum size needed is more like a math question. How much do the animals eat per day, and how much grows on a day. With most animal pen designs the rate at which grass grows is low and most of all very unstable because the animals eat the grass that is also used to spawn new grass. A cobblebloc...

Re: Why do my baby cows keep dying?

one thing to note is that baby animals will try to stay close to an adult animal. This will be their first priority if an adult is close enough. they'll just try to get to them even if they can't reach them. the baby animal will eat grass directly below it while keeping as close as possible to the a...

Re: About keeping track of IG time in SSP and SMP (and chick

We only automated chickens after we had the soulforge, but It would have been very nice to have that way earlier. https://imgur.com/a/p3Age6W Because nothing is loaded when no one is on the server, the only reliable way to make the timer is based on daylight :) With that said there are a few ways to...

Feedback and observations on the end dimension

Since we've arrived at the End at our server, I thought I'd put down my thoughts on the stuff going on there. I realise the mod hasn't touched much of the stuff in here, but I'm guessing how the end interacts with some of the more recent changes and direction might be interesting. so: Enderdragon I ...

Baby animals trying to jump full blocks

My baby sheep are dying because they spend almost all their time trying to jump on the ledge that leads adults into a saw. They seem so desperate to jump that they forget to eat, even when there's plenty grass around! They aren't even trying to get to an adult sheep, they just firmly believe that th...

Re: Ladders are spawning mobs

Cool! Thanks for the change! I suppose if ladders are placed on spawnable floors, mobs still spawn on those floors which would make total sense :) It didn't occur to me that people might exploit it in that way. I was rather thinking the other way around and figuring out if ladders could be used as a...

Ladders are spawning mobs

I heard rumours of this happening on vioki's stream and later noticed this myself. Figuring it was known I guessed it was intentional. I tried to work with it topping ladders of with trapdoors, with the idea they would spawn on top of the ladders and that would make it impossible. It turns out they ...

Ah cool, I didn't know that yet, I'll look into that for mine as well then :) The only other thing I noticed is that the connections tab shows empty spots for each space in the server. Mine only shows 10 spots for connections and a standard server shows 20. Could it be that you changed the max numbe...

Re: Players vanishing in SMP after travelling on boats

I set up the server Whuppee used on his streams. The server is run by a .bat file with some arguments for garbage collection that were recommended to me. I am unsure this has anything to do with the issue at hand but it might be relevant. @ECHO OFF java -Xms4G -Xmx6G -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:+UnlockExperime...

My server doesn't have this problem. I noticed a death count in the corner of your screenshot. Is that an addon? Try removing that as it seems to affect the overlay.

Re: Villagers in an abondoned village

Villages around spawn arn't completely devoid of them. Well if this is the case, then I guess I misunderstood how hardcore villages worked. I thought corrupted peasants only came in semi abandoned villages at least 2000blocks from spawn. If it is working as intended there is no need for this thread...

Re: Villagers in an abondoned village

Apologies for the misdirection! I confused west with east.. The coordinates MCedit is spitting out right now is X:739 Y:71 Z:297.

I created two survival versions and one survival version with cheats enabled, all with green villagers. A Creative mode spawned peasants.

Villagers in an abondoned village

While playing my singleplayer game(with seed Hiracho) I found a village filled with "green" villagers. It is less than 800 blocks from spawn, has the dried up fields and all the other things a completely abandoned village should have. Mind you that it is a huge village.. This is probably a...

Re: Graveyard Keeper on PC

The Embalming actually works quite nice. the anatomy could use some work though(I would suggest they add implanting next to extraction so there's actually a use for some organs) The story keeps being fun till you reach the actual end. that just feels as if its cut off.So You atleast got some hours o...

Re: Graveyard Keeper on PC

Having played through the entire story I'd have to disagree. The game feels very unfinished. As if the developers lost interest in it halfway through and had no test playthroughs at all. The last few techs basically have no function, all the alchemy potions have litteraly no implemented effect(and y...

I think this is the first I've heard about anyone using the thing since I put it out, which was a bit of a bummer :) I love the shovel block! as soon as it came out I got around to using it :) It is quite easy to set up in a mobtrap for flesh and bone, and I love that it ...

Hello :) I'm not one to talk often but I lurk these forums on a daily basis. As far as I know and could find there hasn't been a topic on Glass Bottles not being smeltable in the crucible. This feels kind of strange with it being able to melt sand to glass, I'd have thought "sub" glassbloc...
