Re: Steam Sales

So I finally picked up Darkest Dungeon. And now I cannot put it down. What an amazing game. Simple mechanics, deep gameplay, which is a hard combo to pull off. And if you play on hard it is really challenging, no room for mistakes! So far what I've learned is, a) never leave home without a jester, a...

Re: The controller thread (HOTAS, Steam Controller, etc)

In most games I play, I actually only use my mouse :P I find myself much better at controlling the movements of an fps game with wasd than with a dpad on a controller, and as for analogue thumbsticks, I hate them with a passion. I avoid using them at all costs. You see, I like the binary nature of d...

Re: The controller thread (HOTAS, Steam Controller, etc)

Well, personally I play very few games that are not mouse and keyboard. The very few I play that need a gamepad, the dual shock 2 is a one way. I don't need anything else. I've used countless different keyboards, my old ms one feels better than all of them. If it ever breaks I will be depressed. I s...

Re: The controller thread (HOTAS, Steam Controller, etc)

Hehe, the only gamepad I like is the one I still use. A ps2 dual shock, connected to my pc by a usb adaptor. No other gamepad I've used feels that good in my hands. I tried playing street fighter4 on an xbox 360 controller, I sucked badly. Sad thing is, most games these days only really support 360 ...

Re: 4x Games

I just want to quickly point out that while paradox games are pretty good, they are not really 4x, they are more of the grand strategy genre, except Crusader Kings, which is a mixture of GS with dynasty manager for lack of a better term. My favourite 4x games not mentioned yet: Age of Wonders 3 : s...

This is easily the best song and clip I've had the pleasure to come across this year. Although the album is older. But I'm a big fan of the actor lipsynching in the clip. Incidentally he is also starring in trapped, an excellent Icelandic tv series.

Just a heads up, Factorio is now on steam in early access. Those who bought the game from the site, do get a steam key (relevant link found in your profile) Also, here is an amusing little vid, although 2 months late :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=indN4kcshB0 EDIT: also this amusing thing is com...

David Tennant almost makes me rethink not being into men :P Must give JJ a watch, I liked Daredevil quite a lot (except that ridiculous costume at the end obv)

Of course I grew up reading DD, I didn't even know JJ was a thing until very recently, but I have faith in netflix.

To be honest if I ever poured my life's energy over a creation with a clear dream for it, I would rather it wasn't experienced at all than it was experienced in another way than I intended. It's like saying something and people understanding something else. You start to hate the time you decided to ...

I find myself once again in a weird position. I understand what you say Dave, but at the same time, accessible was never one of my highest sought after qualities in a movie.
