Re: To Troubled To sleep.
I don't understand the reference... It's from a series of comics/graphic novels by Jhonen Vasquez called Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Basically, the protagonist is a gaunt insomniac serial killer who uses the blood of the people he kills to keep a wall in his basement wet. If it dries out (which I ...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
You realize one of the big reasons I'm doing this is to avoid having to wait on Mojang for anything else right? So no...whatever Mojang is rambling on about happening in some mythical land of dancing gnomes, infinite development time, and where games never grow old and are never replaced by newer o...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
I've heard it mentioned twice now, mostly in passing, but have you given any thought to the "vMC eventually becoming a plugin of the Minecraft API" concept that seems to be winding around in the background over at Mojang? Does that factor into your decisions at all? I understand that it'll...

Re: Best intro to automation?
It's not a roadblock. That was too strong a word. More like a speed bump, for first timers. The trick, as with anything in the mod, is to embrace the change rather than bump against it. It can take some readjustment, but once it becomes an accepted part of the game it can actually be a lot of fun. ...

Granted, that's a small statistical sample, but it doesn't exactly have me overflowing with confidence at the moment. Frankly, it makes me REALLY worried about what's going to happen with the mod API and this rendering rewrite they're undertaking. It's truly unfortunate that the Minecraft ToS forbi...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of October 23rd)
It's painful at the beginning of a project, but by the end it *greatly* aids development speed, and makes a huge difference if say a programmer leaves the team for whatever reason and someone needs to take over their code. When something is consistently formatted, it makes it much easier to discern...

That's also a good thought, by the by, have you tested your onboard VGA? Another thing to note is that you can melt down and recycle refined tools. You can't recycle diamond. That, plus the durability, are what make SFS tools far and away the better choice.

Re: I feel like shit.
Well they look at your cumulative GPA, which is about 1/4 your freshamn GPA. Why should only 2 or 3 years of highschool count but not 4? That seems arbitrary. I'm Canadian. Here they only care about your senior years (11, 12, and depending on the province, 13). Counting only your senior years vs. a...
