Re: BTW: Design Philosophy

I use my aggression to defend myself and my points. I can I see how you can find such posting as 'offensive'. I think it's mostly because I'm hitting nerves within a person's feelings and ideas. I get that people don't want to think about said ideas or feelings, but at the same token... I don't thin...

Re: BTW: Design Philosophy

I'm really not sure why my preferring one style of play provokes you towards the above kind of confrontational post. I would also like to say that I am totally capable of playing within the rules of whatever server I happen to be on. In no way am I talking about going on a server where it is not al...

Re: BTW: Design Philosophy

Sorry to momentarily revert back to the previous topic: See, I don't agree with this. Yes, griefing and stealing may be rather idiotic on servers that don't allow it, but as I've mentioned many times before, my preferred way to play SMP is on Anarchy servers. On those servers, griefing and stealing...

Re: New Release! (BTW V2.96)

Here's an idea for the composite bow issue. Composite Crossbow . Crossbows can only shoot at maximum draw so just add a delay for balancing issues between shots. Maybe that would be an easier fix then changing all of the base classes :\ I think so too.. would also be interesting if the reason you c...

I mean... What if I have to gun that thing down with a mining laser as I'm trying to breed sheep? Awkward... But also. what if I have to enchant Nano-Armor? Or give fire resistance to my Geothermal generator? Mining laser ? Nano Armor ? Geothermal generator ? That's already not Minecraft. If you ca...

Nvm... It works fine... shitty bug test is shitty... >.< Was afraid that it really was the case because IC^2 is having problems refining Redpower ore's, and was fearful of a similar situation... Also funny that you added in string/fiber to the Filament recipe, since I did the same on my end as well....

Re: New Release! (BTW V2.96)

-Added *temporary* tanning recipes using wood (logs) instead of dung to simulate the creation of tannin out of bark. The darker the wood, the less is required. This is a temporary measure since wolf-spawning seems to be so infrequent to non-existant in 1.8, which I'll leave in place until that gets...

Re: BTW/BC addon - Energy

Compatibility is nice but tech trees require dependencies, so I am asking myself how can BTW make the other mods dependent on it. But re-writing a mod, that isn't yours, to FORCE it to tie in is pretty...well, it isn't something I expected anyone in this community to be behind at all. That seems to...

Re: New Release! (BTW V2.95)

Wait, will Redpower lamps work with Hemp or is that also disabled? Nope. Light Blocks *only*. It was the only way to ensure that the pumpkin thing would stop, and also properly integrates the Light Blocks into the tech-tree as well as gives a progression to the players ability to grow Hemp (above, ...

Re: A little 1.8 News

Good to know... I'm going to go ahead and do my feature of 1.8 MCForge ID Resolver, and add this mod after this is released via that function. Been getting requests for a 'Let's Play' Series, so I won't feel too restricted now to get started on it (since you are the only damn mod maker that doesn't ...

Re: Chicken farm 1.8

As this was brought up in another thread I thought I would update what I have found out about livestock In 1.8. As chickens. Despawn when they are trapped in one position to long the hen battery design is right out. I have modified the hen coop to use wood blocks instead of stairs and replaced glas...

Re: Breeding

Probably the only thing this changes is how fast the 'chicken coop' fills up... Which for me, doesn't seem that problematic, as adding a trap door (either by wood or piston+red stone) where you can grab/kill said chickens at would be the only addition you would have to make...

Re: MCForge is awesome...

Care to explain how this is even possible? It's a bit complicated, but basically MC stores block IDs in a 32k array, it's just a question of save files storing them as bytes. I proposed a system where all mod blocks were a single ID and bait/switching them for the correct one on chunkload. Eloraam ...

Lol, yep, most of my mods are extremely OP. :) But I love your mods! lol I kinda prefer it, because I play very conservatively... Glowstone aggregators are an automated way to get glowstone dust. For people who don't like mining it I guess. Glowstone can be eventually transmuted to something like diamonds or iron ore. Still not as broken as Glowstone source, lol: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/551478-173-saddlecraft-and-...

Another point I'd like to bring up in regards to the conversation over on SA, is that they're actually bringing in the idea of using the TOU. Fair enough, I can level with them. They make the point that the Terms of Use mention how distribution of Notch's code (even modified) is a violation, which ...
