Re: What are you reading?
I'm too muck of a nerd to actually invest in physical books, so I've been keeping myself entertained with a fanfic called Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (hpmor.com). AU where Harry grows up with a scientist, and learns to think rationally and critically. Currently with more words than t...

Re: Highschool punishment.
Wow... like, is this for real? I'd rather take suspension than humiliation. There isn't even any merit to the punishment. Sure, the kids won't fight again, but for all the wrong reasons. And what about the other kids, who get a free pass to mock the victims? This encourages more bad behavior than go...

Re: Even more Thaumcraft 3 goodies!
I like how there are no set ways to create and combine essenses, but instead an infinite variety. I spend a good portion of my time thinking of the cleverest, cheapest way to create each item.

Yeah, that's for sure... I don't have enough imagination to even concieve of Home at this point.
Probably overthinking it.

As per title. Please correct me if this in fact, not a bug.

I guess my only real concern is that BTW and RTH might split into separate splinter communities. Will they coexist in the same forum?

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
That's not my preferred option (the clear connection between MC and Home was a selling point to me), but it is a much more feasible option, technically, in the long run.
I say you should go for it. Whatever improves the mod.

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
My thoughts? I think Home shoule be a seperate dimention. The idea of a "Minecraft Level Two", or Second Quest is very appealing to me as a player: overcoming the challenges of a game, then moving to a harder, different version of the same game. The atmosphere of it all and the almost nost...

Yeah, I've had the same thoughts before. It's really quite eerie... the idea of being trapped by your own mind, but unable to see the cage.

Re: Panda's Dokucraft Texture Pack [BTW4.34] CTM HOLY SHIZZ
Alright Panda, I'm really loving your texture pack, including the CTM support, but I'm a little confused.
There are a ton of texture files for CTM that don't seem to correlate to any block in vanilla OR in the mod. Are they alternates of some sort?

Re: Are we all idiots?
In my opinion, in most cases, people aren't genetically predisposed to stupidity. Either they're lacking in knowledge (which is ok), or never learned how to think critically/effectively (which is much worse). Of course, there are also the people who just don't care enough to learn, and these are the...

Re: Small program to format text for copy/pasting into books
I've been thinking about the possibility of doing a small add-on mod for BTW implementing some features related to books and the construction of libraries. Not sure what it would do exactly, some ideas include a printing press system/block by which you could duplicate books and functionality for bo...

Re: BTW: The life of Minecraft.
My time is a finite resource, and it's a resource that fans of the mod are currently benefiting from. In fact, the better I prioritize and manage my own time, the more you guys benefit from it. That particular adadge of yours has changed the way I think about time and the way I use it. Now, I'm not...

Wow. That's pretty fucking cool. When at last I awaked, it was to discover myself half sucked into a slimy expan...

Re: Beginner to BTW: Hardcore Buckets?
I'd say HCB makes construction and contraptions much more expensive, but also, more satisfying and engaging to build. I say you should try it.
It can also be disabled at any time, if you decide it's not for you.
