Re: KSP Beta 0.9
0.90. 0.9 was released 3 years ago. I have yet to play the new version, but I know some Ubisoft developer who Squad had playing the game on the KSPTV channel would not stop bitching about the fact that he didn't get patched conics and maneuver nodes for free. He refused to accept the fact that for g...

Re: The BTSM/BTW divide
I've gotten a bit bored of the stock system in KSP, so I've been playing using mods that change the system. The last thing I would want is to end up with a case where I either can't progress because I can't get the science or with a case where I can get a ton of science too easily. I've also been ex...

Re: Risk Of Rain 1.2.0 Update!
I should probably pick this back up at some point. IIRC, I only ever unlocked one other character in it, and never really got past the first level. -.-

Re: Prison Architect Alpha 25
Yup. When I get a death, I jump to the spot, mark the murderer as a supermax, and check to see who died. If it was a staff member, I'd replace him; if it was a prisoner, I'd go back to what I was doing. As far as following a minsec guy: they said something about prisoners having their security level...

Re: Prison Architect Alpha 25
Well, played it last night with my existing 400-man prison. Didn't realize just how much tasers were doing to help keep things calm before - at the start of the rollout, I couldn't go very long without a guard needing to call for help and seeing 3-4 guards subduing a prisoner. I wound up countering ...

It definitely looks good. I haven't yet loaded my prison in the new version, but I plan on doing so when I get back from work tonight.

Re: State of Starbound
Believe it or not, the planets in Starbound are not randomly generated, at least not in the MC/Terraria sense. I don't think anyone's ever claimed that they were randomly generated. They're procedurally generated; while that can be combined with random seeds (like letting Minecraft choose your seed...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
[MC-9164] – Chickens will not follow Melon seeds, Pumpkin seeds, or Nether Wart This feels more than a little off- But then again nether wart is fictional. (I always thought it was some kind of fungus) In vMC, chickens will eat anything that's considered a "seed" - they don't care what it...

But that clip I linked could be done with one button. It probably took them a while to get the speeds and limits right, but it could be activated by a button.

They're not obligated to give a refund - there's been cases where the company didn't ask for enough originally, didn't make enough in the kickstarter, and failed to deliver. There's also cases like DCS World, where the company folded into another one and the parent company completely restructured th...

Well, at least they didn't just make the doors palette swaps. I'm sure vMC players will be happy to have some variety in styles.

Yep. I'd kill for a toggle switch for "inventories connected to this one". Oh, I have a few missiles ready for my launchers? That's nice, but where's the big cargo container I hooked up to this one for my medical supplies? Assuming that's how they conveyor system works, anyway. I haven't m...

Re: Space engineer
One of my friends was complaining about batteries a little while before the patch dropped, and how they work. It's a step forwards, but still not quite there yet. In my opinion, we need something like what several tech mods for Minecraft have - conduits for power, rather than have it magically distr...

I assumed they targeted you if you were moving too quickly, but something Gil said in the chat after I captured the escort made me think they might not attack you at all.

Re: Space Engineers - Hardcore Mode
The problems I've found with it so far are the same problems that plague Space Engineers - the big one being that cargo ships are just loot pinatas. The first ship I approached was a military escort, with heavy armor. That heavy armor means I can expand my own ship quite a bit, and all the explosive...

Re: [Nether Spoilers] Soul Sand Piles Help
DevidIta: if you use it in the overworld, it'll direct you to the current HCS location. Not particularly useful in singleplayer, but in multiplayer you can use it to help give someone directions back home -for example, if it's going off to the northeast, you can tell the other person they need to tr...

You don't want to be editing images with transparency with MS Paint. You need to use Paint.net, GIMP, Photoshop, or the like.

Re: Steam Sales
I highly suggest getting Enhanced Steam on your web browser and shopping that way - it'll show you the cheapest price something is at currently (with a link to it if it's not Steam), the cheapest price it's ever been, and warn you of additional layers of DRM.

Re: Watch Dogs
AAA studios have the issue that the publishers don't want to fund anything unique; it's safer for them to just remake the same handful of games with (usually) better graphics than to risk it with new gameplay. They know linear shooters are a reliable source of income, so we end up seeing a lot of th...

Well, whether or not it's a good game/mod, looks like it's on sale for 75% off on Steam for the weekend.
Re: PC Help
Did a bit of research. Looks like you'll be able to play games on low graphics settings and low resolution.
