I was mining for iron in a ravine, while trying to light it up for my future mob farm. As I finish lighting up the ledges that could spawn suicide zombies and creepers, I decide to go into the cave right bellow it. As I get closer to the big hole in the ground to the cave, a spider shoots a web, and...

Better than wolves is incompatible with forge and possibly with every mod you listed

just a small question, since the mineshafts intersections only have one block wide opennings, doesn't that greatly reduce the movement capability, and therefore the threat of cave spiders?

Tinfoil hat time! Okay, at one point I met my untimely demise in my current world in the jaws of The Beast. I had three wolves with me at that time, two grown ups and one pup. Long story short, I was mining cobble and working my way to the second level of strata and got cornered by something growly...

make a stream carry the item to the corner of a hole, and in the hole put a fence(not connected to anything) and a pressure plate on top of it. the item will pass through and activate the pressure plate, like in a tripwire

I believe it's mostly used by people for pre-anvil item detection, but it can be easily switched with the fence-pressure plate trick

actually the only thing that changes in explosions on hard mode is the damage to entities, not the blast radious

do wolves spawn in jungles? because I keep hearing them howl from my shelter that's in a beach surrounded by a giant jungle and the ocean

me and my friend would love that, as it always is a pain when HCS spawn us far away from each other and we end up having to either having to use the /tp comand or disabling HCS to not hurt our little avaible time

I tried testing, but it's really hard to notice if there's is a problem considering the vannila durability.
also I found nothing in the oficial bug tracker

If you switch your tools right after you break a block, the old tool will receive no damage while the new tool takes damage.
aditionally, if the tool to wich you switched isn't the proper tool for the block, it will break just as if it was punched.

actually it's their interesting way to spawn that, if you're unlucky, will kill you

I think what he meant was turning on peacefull when in low health/in danger of dying and turning off again when safe

While it would be interesting if this were the only way to make a portal, I feel that it is far less intuitive and a lot of newer players to both vMC and BTW would not catch on, and it could possibly be overly difficult to figure out how to do it right. I'm not saying the mechanic for doing so isn'...
