Re: Tales of Woe: how has a feature of BTW killed your steve

I had spawned the wither and lost... Right as I killed it. It was one of those fights where something at the back of my head was saying "you're not ready", whereas something else was pushing me to fight it. I put on some chainmail, one projectile protect enchantment, grabbed a refined swor...

Re: Magic Wankery (Was: A Big Thanks)

This may be one of the best thread hijacks ever. On topic, though, I haven't played much of MtG in years. I've got a good twenty decks in a box somewhere that my dad originally set up in the mid 90's that he gave to me, but that box is buried somewhere in my office. I'm sure it'll turn up soon, but ...

Man, you're letting me have way too much fun with this. It's so wrong, but it feels so right. Lol...I know right? Re: Hardcore Spawn is finished

Personally I enjoyed hardcore spawn. Whenever me or my friends would die, we would restart where we were at, get to the redstone tier, build a compass and find our way back to the spawn where our town was set up. I'm definitely looking forward to using this feature once we get it figured out. Looks ...

I'd say this is a small win, but knowing them they aren't going to back down on what they've done. I'm guessing they're just going to keep it as the half-hearted apology without working to right anything.

Back to the Forge comments and "doing things proper": Yeah, CPW doesn't seem to understand that to gamers, they don't give a shit HOW you make your game, only that it works, is fun, and doesn't crash. Same goes with mods. Most modders also don't care how they make their games beyond reduc...

Re: Better than Horses (No Alligators please)

In regards to horse model, can the guy who made the model translate the body of the horse one unit up and set the body's rotation point by the front legs? The legs are showing some texture clipping with the body, and for the bucking animation it will be one hell of a lot easier on everyone involved ...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

Yeah they remind me of crayola crayons rather than adobe. The textures seem so off and they're just blocks of pure colour and it very weird. Okay, as a player I could see them being useful in houses as a better alternative to wool for a plaster-like wall. However, as a designer I had to do a double...

The little bit of faith that I had left in Minecraft and Mojang is now completely gone. I was expecting a terrain overhaul, not a biome update that only adds temples and dungeons... Actually, since HC Strata came out, no Worldgen mods can work with BTW, unless coded specifically for it.
