I found it's very easy to kill him by just going very far on one of your strip mining tunnels, and just spawning there, as his mobility is greatly reduced and you always have room to retreat(that is, if he doesn't somehow break the floor below you).

I like to believe that the World's time flow was okay and equal everywhere before Steve, but had it's time flow disturbed by his presence somehow.

Why not just not cheat?

I have a friend that really likes it, but is too lazy to play as it requires a lot of effort and time past the surviving phase.

It's probably also because he is not used to very hard games and sometimes cheats out of harsh situations. Some people are just not for BTW.

IIRC, Blight doesn't really work very well with jungle trees, because it usually just kills about 6 blocks above it, creating some weird trees with leaves only at the top.

I once enchanted a gold sword to try and kill a Beast that got stuck inside my chest room(where all my iron was at that time). The sword is still there in a Frame to remind me to always put new dogs in quarentene.

I have found myself making Wool armour again in my HC spawns. Before I would just ignore any sheep because of their lower meat and armour vallue, but now I just hunt them actively to make sure I survive a little bit longer.

I think it would be much better if you dug out every gravel and dirt(mainly gravel) deposits you come around in lower strata, specially if on the ground, and then, once you have dug every possible place, use all that gravel to fill in lava pools. I've once gotten 15 diamonds with only 2 iron shovels...

I usually do a lot of walking near beaches, and until now I haven't found a single sinkhole except for some rare cases where ravines cut right through the sandstone.

I used to watch series while playing(only thing I like in windows 8), but after 1.3 the performance dropped too much to be playable.
