[title] just released on steam the other day as a community mod for portal 2. It's more portal. You guys like portal, right?
It's pretty good. Hard puzzles (compared to portal 2 at least) in a fully voiced campaign to...do portal things. Oh, it's free as well.
Portal.

Re: Hololens and its applications.... discuss
Another axis of control always helps too - biggest thing I'm looking forward to with VR (besides porn) is just being able to twist/tilt my head when looking at things, instead of rotating the whole character. You say "besides porn" and then still seem to be talking about porn anyways. Tou...

Re: Steam Sales
Has anyone here heard of a game called Sunless Sea? It's on sale now and I'm really curious about what people think about it. I generally trust the games people like here and a dark, open world survival game seems like something everyone would like. It's not bad. I havn't played it since shortly af...

https://www.humblebundle.com/ What is in the new bundle? Games you should have! World of Goo Super Meat Boy Limbo Braid Risk of Rain Antichamber I love all of the above games, the titles speak for themselves. Problem is, they are probably already in your collection :P Also included Dustforce DX - n...

Re: Lego...minecraft?
If they end up adding technic parts - and they actually work - I can see me spending a lot of time revisiting my childhood. Not going to cross my fingers though. That said, at thier current pricepoint, it still seems like a good deal just for a simple virtual lego set - and it doesn't hurt that it's...

So apparently LEGO has hopped onto the whole procedurally generated destructible world game thing (complete with early access for the extra authenticity) Nerdcubed vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaQNzLngMKM Steam page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/332310/ Personally I'm just wondering wha...

Re: Space Engineers Suit Oxygen Addition
I havn't really paid much attention to SE's modding community up till now - most mods seemed to be mo' parts in a game which really needed a mo' gameplay. Might be worth a look now. If you can find someone to actually do it. I find the disturbing lack of concern within SE's community over the distu...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aavBAplp5A Just finished listening to it, it's worth having on in the background. Lots of good points made - I don't agree with some of them, such as the general view that the outrage was not 'the community' - A lot of what I saw was from people claiming to be from ...

Re: Kerbal Space Program 1.0
Damn I think I found that bug or a play feature :( I had a science station in orbit of Minmus fully loaded plus 10 reports/samples. A solar array probe was on the last leg of rendezvous and I think it loaded in during the probes time warp. Lab and crew obliterated! I was so violent I had to read th...

Re: Monetized Mods
Only Valve can piss off a giant chunk of its customers with a stupid idea, backtrack on it and then come out on top cuz they listened to the community. Hey! How about asking what the community thinks of a certain feature before fully committing to it? I guess when you run a monopoly, market researc...

Re: Kerbal Space Program 1.0
No, fins are good - it doesn't take many though. Just make sure your pad TWR is pretty low (I think I'm going for around 1.3-1.5, havn't really looked at the numbers though) and you should get a nice arc going. I have no idea how efficent various launch profiles are at the moment, but I wouldn't be...

Re: Kerbal Space Program 1.0
I'm loving launching things into orbit in the new aero. Only time I ever really messed around with FAR was the short stint testing the BTSM version - which lacking fairings and such made it an...experience) and once a bit more recently just flying planes. But theres a lot of satisfaction in getting...

Re: Kerbal Space Program 1.0
I got two launches off before running into a showstopper bug with reentry and heatshields and spent most of the rest of the day which I had set aside to play trying to help people solve it on the forums :P One day we'll be told why SQUAD want to flag everything as immune to physics, one day. I'm lo...

Re: Monetized Mods
I haven't read any of the fear mongering you're talking about, so all my doom and gloom is coming straight from the horse's mouth ;) It comes from someone asking steam how mod dependancies would be managed - if mod A needs assets from mod B to function, can they include mod B? And that the response...

Re: Monetized Mods
There's also the fact that modder will only be able to get those funds once they've raised $100 - that is, made $400 in sales. And then taxes, because you're a self-employed contractor working for steam iirc. Theres so much unconfirmed rumour going around at the moment it's almost impossible to tell...

Re: Monetized Mods
Well, that's one way to get the steam workshop flooded with poor quality content and creating drama within the modding community. Not sure why they'd want those things though.
Oh wait, the whole monopoly thing. Steam likes money. Fucks sake.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Does anyone actually play minecraft anymore? Reading those suggestions makes me think the vast amount of the userbase just uses it as an arena to playfight on :/
What happened to traps, ambushes? Using the terrain as a weapon and shield? You know, minecrafty stuff :/

Re: Space Engineers Suit Oxygen Addition
I'm going to wait a few updates for them to expand on the system a little more, but I think this will be what gets me playing SE again (after the infinite worlds update killed my enthusiasm). At one point I wanted to do a playthrough pretending that space had dangerous levels of radiaition or someth...

I've been playing this a fair bit too - it's pretty damned good. Only got one mod atm - one that allows you to toggle the existence of traffic lights - and that's just because I have trouble mapping the elegant chaos that is the UK's traffic to the tools given :p I'm hoping the modding community (I'...
