Re: Automatic wheat farm, detector block issues?
I'm fairly certain that block detectors do not work when facing downward at the wheat. Only when they are facing horizontally will they 'see' the top of the wheat poking above the block. You're probably looking at a complete rebuild. Just tested this, and detector blocks do "see" the whea...

Re: Carribean - Mount & Blade meets Sid Meiers Pirates!
Regardless though, the sailing combat in the Total War games is so abstracted as to not be very compelling. Like wind direction hardly makes a difference, which is sad given it was probably the primary tactical consideration and part of what really makes games about that period so engaging. In some...

Re: Carribean - Mount & Blade meets Sid Meiers Pirates!
There are a lot of games that covered it in the past. The most recent I can think of is Empire: Total War (I think Shogun had it too sans cannons), although the naval combat there was lackluster at best. But going backwards in time there were a number of games that dealt with it, like the Age of Sa...

Re: Carribean - Mount & Blade meets Sid Meiers Pirates!
Looks very cool, I enjoyed M&B a lot (still play it occasionally). As long as the campaign works out as well I think it'll be worth the buy. Especially excited for the naval combat, never seen it done with sailing age ships.

Re: 0 A.D. - Open source RTS
Looks interesting. I only looked at it a minute, but it seems to be similar in play to aoe2? Will definitely look at it later when I have time. More similar to AoE1 I'd say, time period wise. Gameplay wise, probably aims to be closer to AoE2 and it's made by AoM players. Downloaded the alpha and pl...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.89999999)
This isn't the place for tech support, and do you have anything else installed? BTW has always been by far the most stable mod for me. You mentioned 1.5.0, if you're using this minecraft version you're on the wrong one as current release is meant for 1.5.2.

Re: New player progression stop
You need to go caving for diamond. Gold might work, but I've never tried using gold tools myself.
Edit: Sorry, misread, but the advice is still the same. Go caving, you can mine ores within strata you can't normally mine.

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.30)
Its been a while since I posted, but I just wanted to say that you really make the greatest mod! Can't wait to try out the new update. Also, I like the change to the windmills in the Nether as I thought it was a little cheap that you could just pop in there to set it up and negate the effects of you...

Re: Remember populous ?
Nice little game. Got pretty far, but now I'm stuck on level 29, given it 5 tries now :( level 19, done. I think whirl pool is one really efficient power when you can't build mana very fast. The idea is then to focus on expanding your tribe while doing some "sneak attacks" with it in enemi...

Re: PC setups
Yeah, I know that it's pointless to have six cores compared to four, but it was on sale for cheaper than the comparable quad cores. I actually did basically the same thing, there was a great sale on hex core (came for free with a motherboard!) so I went with that for my rig. OS: Windows 7 (64bit) C...

Yeah, that sounds like a Creative bug. Can't think of what caused it otherwise, unless you dumped ground nether rack on it.

Re: Finite Water Mod and BOD
I haven't used BOD, but I have used Finite water. And last I knew ?Finite water was incompatible with BTW, though I never tried fiddling with the block ids and such. Finite water was OK, but it doesn't carry items in water streams (though I think you can craft vanilla water or something), it creates...

I meant the recording. I didn't revert the song back to Baba Yetu when I played with expansions or mods though, by the time I started using those, I was sick of it. Nice to hear it after some time though. Had completely forgotten about it until now

Re: I just jizzed in my pants.
You're right, Civ 5 doesn't play like the previous ones did, (though ICS still works, and was the dominant strategy until last patch or the one before it), and its not that I dislike it for being a different game, its that I felt it wasn't as polished as the earlier ones were. I do however, still th...
