Dirt slabs can be dirt or grass, but not blight (not any of the 4 stages). If you dirt-slabbed a grassy area and the slabs got grass, and later the area got blighted, there will be remaining grass slabs that seriously muck up the appearance of the area :/ Not to mention, it can be exploited to easil...

I found a zombie wearing my decapitated head (after I died nearby) and being immune to sunlight. Is this BTW? I can't find it in the changelog.

When entering the Nether regular mobs always spawn right next to the portal and attack me. Is that a feature I missed or something? Or is it because of this release?

Are you sure you're following the installation guide? Make sure you also installed Modloader 1.4.7.

And try installing it without MCPatcher just to be sure it isn't a problem with it.

I found that usually you can easily kill the spiders by moving into a building or digging and entering a 1x1x2 hole in the ground, and then when the spider is crawling on the roof above you you just attack it and it keeps coming back. Even when it shoots web at you it will not have any effect since ...

I definitely liked how it felt when I finally got an iron pick. I also had to make a tough decision - make an iron pick or make an iron hoe. Eventually I made the pick and used some gold to make a hoe, which turned out to be a complete waste :) The mobs are certainly a problem, but the hardest part ...

I think you misread the text - in order to make a Hibachi you only need a cauldron. using the hibachi you can stoke fire to make the crucible.
