Re: Opus Magnum
I'm having a lot of fun with this game, despite Gil basically being twice as efficient as me in each category Haha, sorry, I got a little optimization crazy there in the beginning. At this point, I stopped playing Opus and am just playing the pebble minigame XD Heh, I've hit a couple of those so fa...

Re: Happy [Sorta] Conceptionversarry!
Does anyone remember the original six blocks of the mods? I check the changelog, version 1.0 is just Initial release. Through a brief reading I think Iron Pressure Plates, the Hibachi, Minecart Boosters, and the light block. I also don't see cement being added, so that must have been in initial, bu...

Re: Steam Sales
If anyone doesn't have Mount and Blade yet, it's being sold in a bundle with 7 other games for 2.49 here. It's been a popular game with everyone here as far as I know, definitely worth 2.49 even on it's own.

Re: Gamemaker: Studio Pro (humble bundle)
Huh, they had gamemaker professional in a bundle a while back, too, 12$ for professional + android module and some other games. I picked it up then and never really did anything with it, I couldn't even register my version of it for a few weeks due to the popularity of the bundle

Re: Sci fi and love
Oh! I just remembered a good one: Black Mirror. It's a series of one-off stories in a limited run, but for dark scifi, they really rock: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2085059/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 I made the mistake of watching "The Entire History of You" after a rough breakup. Ouch. Definitely ...

Re: Windows 10 to kill steam?
I mean, I've stuck with 7 just because the whole metro UI thing bothers me, even if it's optional. Every step Microsoft has taken seems to be things I don't even like. Honestly, if Win10 kills steam, I'd be happy to see devs pushing for Linux development so I can finally switch over permanently

Re: Captain America
I was pretty "meh" on the movie myself. I thought it was going to cover the death of Captain America, so when it just ended after the big fight, it was quite the "wtf?" moment for me. That's what I had thought before they released any more details than the fact that it was civil...

Re: 20 Lessons from Magic: The Gathering's Head of Design
I was really into M:tG for a couple years, and Mark Rosewater talks about his views on design and his process a *lot*. There's a lot more of his material out there, if you were wanting more
Re: Overwatch
It's good fun, but not worth the price they're asking. Especially for something that essentially feels like a TF2 clone which has been free for ages now. Also ever since I started buying up games on Steam I'm wary of dishing out anything more than 10 bucks on a game these days. I agree that it's en...
Re: Overwatch
I played for a while yesterday. Although it was pretty fun, it's one of those games that require some dedication to get into, and I already use up enough of my time with LoL :P Plus with the cost, I'll probably not touch this again. Unless Blizzard gives a discount some day. Which seems unlikely......
Re: Overwatch
Yeah, I decided to give it a shot, and I'm enjoying it. Nothing too special, but good fun. Doesn't seem to set itself apart from all the similar class-based team shooters coming out lately, though, like Dirty Bomb and Paladins, but either way, it's worth playing, at least while it's free

Finally got that damn rabbit's foot. Was pretty damn satisfying to finally complete the community center. So what did I do straight after? Started up a new game of course...what the hell is wrong with me? I was too excited to get my greenhouse and too lazy to diversify my crops, so I just sold out ...

Re: Stardew Valley
I gave in and bought it, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I've been entirely ignoring the social aspects of it like festivals and just building up my farm/making progress in the abandoned mine, and I'm really enjoying it anyway, despite missing a huge portion of the game.

Also, the first detection we had pretty much proves black holes to be real, which is another wow moment. Again, previously, there was still room to debate black holes might not actually be a thing and this will go a long way to really cement that concept. Very exciting stuff :) I didn't realize the...

Re: Some gorgeous (custom) Minecraft terrain
I think the real disconnect is that you guys don't seem to consider this to be a valid professional job. Why wouldn't a specialized skill like that be a valid job option? Because games are not a valid job choice? I think, for me, it's not as much that I don't see it as a valid job, as much as I cou...

Re: Mobile survival games?
There are some good mobile rogue-like games, though, like Pixel Dungeon. I think the only mobile games I've actually found myself enjoying were roguelikes in at least some sense. Dungeon Raid is one of my favorites. Solomon's Boneyard and Solomon's Keep were both very good games, though they're onl...

Re: Some gorgeous (custom) Minecraft terrain
Wow, those are incredible. Still, I learned my lesson on things like this a long time ago; These sort of grandiose looking maps are usually exceptionally boring to play on. The level of detail put into all the features just really doesn't translate when you're playing.

Re: Exposed spoilers will bring swift death. The Force Awake
Well, finally got around to watching it... It was entertaining overall, but really did seem more like a remake of A New Hope. I'm not sure what it was about it, but it felt more like JJ Abram's fanfiction than a real sequel. Still, I almost suspect that the repetition of core plot points is specific...

Well, I've been making shirts with pretty much just bleach and stencils. I don't have pictures of the majority of them, but I did post one pair to Reddit a while back.
I was going to just embed this, but it's a bit large so I'll just link to imgur

I think it's important to realize that people were always like that, we just recently gave them a direct line to creators. You know, that's pretty true. I remember every game I played as a kid there was a million changes I wished I could make, that all would have been just awful. If every developer...
