Re: Flying Machine
The more I think of it, a flying machine serves more vMC purposes than BTW, such as exploring for structures and fighting ghasts/the enderdragon Having said that, the way the technology is progressing in BTW makes it seem like something that should come in the future. So for now I wait pic related h...

Re: Flying Machine
^I see your point
Of course it's always up to flowerchild. If he has something amazing up his sleeve for his coming updates, then by all means he should ignore this.
If he's ever at a lost for ideas, or has some free time, maybe he'll consider it. That's what makes it a suggestion after all

Re: Flying Machine
Are you asking for possible recipes? Because those only seem to piss people off around here If Steve can build mechanical power and steel, he should be able to build an engine of some sorts. A simple fan would be good enough for propulsion A plane or helicopter would be too unrealistic unless it was...

Re: Flying Machine
I disagree. Steve has all the resources he would need to build a flying machine. Whether or not it's safe to ride would be a different matter. The tech level argument is always used to kill threads without discussion. Whether or not it fits with the mod all depends on how its implemented. If it's ad...

OP:
I did use the search function. You guys always reply to everything the same -.-I have seen the hot air balloon thread. That was four months ago, and minecraft has changed enough that the idea is worth revisiting.

Flying Machine
I would like to see a flying machine in better than wolves. The benefits of reaching the top of the tech tree include limitless smelting, automation, better tools and armor, and mining charges just to name a few. In my opinion, building something that can fly wouldn't be much of a stretch at that po...

IDEA assembly line crafting
this isnt really a suggestion, just an idea i came up with in another thread i know that the new steel age is coming and i cant wait to see what Flowerchild has up his sleeves. i just thought it would be a cool mechanic to build assembly lines of simple machines that you would use to make more compl...

Re: Printing Press [READ and WRITE Books]
i dont know how in depth of a word processor would need to be programmed for this, or how much storage space it would take up for a mostly frivolous idea. it would be a nice feature, but if it's too much of a hassle to implement i dont think it's worth it. and it probably is a hassle considering not...

Re: Grinding bones into bonemeal.
bones are organic. maybe if bonemeal could only be gotten through the millstone it would add more challenge to getting it and add depth to the game. but it's still just a small feature that doesnt really matter either way

that's reasonable. i just dont want anyone to think that the way i proposed the idea was the only way it could be done.

Re: Steel Re-inforced blocks
i meant that if you build a big house out of cobblestone, are you really gona be scared of a creeper destroying it? especially if you added torches and walls to prevent creeper spawns. a creeper cant blow you up from the other side of a wall

Re: Steel Re-inforced blocks
the truth is that there's no need for stronger blocks. regular cobblestone can already stand up to a creeper attack just fine, and even in the nether cobble stone can resist ghasts. what im saying is unless something more dangerous is added to the game, the blocks we have right now are already reall...

Re: boilers, coal to mechanical power
I don't think Steve should have access to a more powerful type of power yet. you say steve is not ready like steve is a moron who cant use matches. if you're saying that it would be too overpowered then it needs more ways to balance it like having to reload water or something of the sort. if anythi...

Re: boilers, coal to mechanical power
Considering we now have kilns which are not an individual block but a configuration of blocks that produce an effect, we may be seeing something like this in the near future. I suspect we are going to get something like a "Turbine" block that needs to rest above water being heated by a st...

Re: Mining Drill
im my opinion, the "tech tree" is a complete matter of opinion. a lot of inventions took years to make because people had not thought of them yet. it wasnt their tools that held them back, it was their knowledge. if you want to argue if steve has the tools to build a drill, then i think he...

Re: BTW: Design Philosophy
let me just say that some things in minecraft would be almost impossible to stumble upon yourself if you did not know they existed or how to make it, and that especially goes for BTW. a good example would be the waterwheel. the recipe makes perfect sense, but would you really be able to figure it ou...

Re: boilers, coal to mechanical power
i meant this idea as a different way to power machines. something simple you could make when you dont have a windmill or waterwheel. it's easier to make but less efficient. plus, i think it's a flexible enough to expand upon over time
