Re: Better Transport
This isn't an alternative for minecarts, but it fixes things about minecarts that will make them better to use (it fixes the physics and makes the powered minecart better) http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/96089-minecarts-mk-ii-latest-update-912011/ It's currently out of date though and even the 1...

Re: Tool to rotate blocks/change facing
Maybe i kind of mixture between the piston/ turntable thing that is easy to use and destroy but will break into its drop form so that it is not an over powered equivalent of the turntable? It wouldn't be an overpowered turntable either way, since a turntable is a block and works when you're not aro...

Re: water in nether
Windmill will give you power, but you will lack the transport that water supplies, so you can't really make anything automatic or even semi automatic. You could make a much more efficient factory on the surface, and process your netherack there.

Re: Uses of chainmail?
You don't aim in a volley. You point your bow in the general direction of an army and let loose. Since the plates present the larger surface area, the arrow is more likely to hit the plate than not. This made plate armour far more effective, the only thing than beat it was the invention of guns. But...

Re: Uses of chainmail?
Cheap, mass produced plate armor that didn't cover much maybe, but for decent stuff a bodkin didn't do anything and a broadhead could only dent, no matter what it was fired from. Also don't get confused with the difference between Plate Mail and Plate Armor. EDIT: See here, arrow at point blank rang...

Re: Uses of chainmail?
Uh...plate armor has always been better than chain mail. Sharp tipped arrows can penetrate chain mail by forcing the rings apart but bounces right off plate armor. Plate armor was bulkier and more expensive of course but generally the person wearing it was a rich knight on horseback. Someone needs t...

What exactly do you mean by "cheating?" Well someone is bound to post the answers somewhere at some point, which peeps will look at and use to cheat. But, they have to look at it, so they still learn something. And BigShinyToys has the right idea, minus the joke questions anyway. It's not...

Re: a way to help reduce repeat & useless suggestions?
IQ/ BTW test is still the best idea if it can be implemented Forget about the IQ bit. A test that tests their knowledge on BTW and forum rules was what I was getting at. A person doesn't have to be smart or intelligent to read the rules and the OP (I hope). A test forces them to at least *see* the ...

Jeb fixes all the bugs, answers community questions, and makes the bigger features. Notch makes snowmen.
I've said this before, but we *really* need to make jeb our new god.

Re: a way to help reduce repeat & useless suggestions?
Meant that it has to be done to be able to play the mod. So like, doing a questionaire before it gives you a download link, or writing a small program that won't let you unzip the mod or something until questions are done. A read this would probably get ignored just like stickies do. And lowering is...
